How to Make Gold

Guides

Gold is an essential resource in the game and is often used in crafting recipes as ingots, which you can make by collecting raw gold ore from rocks on your farm and in the mines.

To collect raw gold ore, you must unlock the third mine on your farm. You’ll have to repair a broken bridge to reach it and can either use gold or materials (10 Silver Ingots and 30 Supple Lumber). Once you’ve asked Nigel to repair the bridge, which he will do overnight, you can cross it and break the gold-speckled rocks scattered in and around the mine.

How to Get Tools

How to Upgrade Your Bag

Guides

When you first start the game, you will receive a bag capable of holding 16 items at a time and your various tools. To hold more items, you’ll need to upgrade it. You can do this by visiting the Tool Shop in town and telling Clemens you want to expand your bag.

There are two extensions you can purchase. The first costs 3000 gold and enables you to carry 24 items by adding a third row of slots to your bag. The second costs 15 000 and lets you carry 32 items by adding a fourth row of slots to your bag.

Remember, the Tool Shop is closed on Tuesdays.

How to Unlock New Locations

Guides

While exploring your farm, you’ll happen across structures that need to be repaired. Take note of these structures and the material and gold you’ll need to repair them. Once you’ve fixed them, you will unlock new locations and gain access to better resources.

If you’re constantly harvesting and processing items like wood and ore, you’ll be able to meet the repair requirements of these structures and unlock new locations much quicker.

How to Clear Puddles

Guides

Puddles are just one of the many obstacles you’ll need to deal with on your farm. They appear in random locations every day and can only be cleared once you’ve unlocked the bucket, which you can’t unlock until Clemens gives it to you on the 7th day of Spring.

You can then clear a puddle by standing next to it and pressing “Y.” Clearing puddles will also let you collect clay, which you can use in crafting recipes and machines. Clearing puddles and ponds around your farm will raise your Draining skill and unlock permanent bonuses in the game.

How to Upgrade Tools

Guides

Aside from the Camera and Leash, you can upgrade any tool multiple times to improve its quality and performance. You should be working quickly to improve the productivity of your farm.

You can upgrade your tools by heading into town and talking with Clemens at the Tool Shop. Each upgrade will be more expensive than the last, and you’ll need materials and gold to complete an upgrade. Silver upgrades require 5 Silver Ingots each, and gold tools require 10 Gold ingots each.

How to Get Rid of Dead Plants
