If you have the blue aim line available to line up your shot (which can be turned back on while playing online), you can zoom out and line it up so that the aim line goes into the hole, without going left and right. Aiming like this and taking your shot at full power will normally give you a hole-in-one, even if there is wind, because the aim line cancels out other factors.

There are three different ways to swing: Classic, Arcade, and Tour. Try each of them and pick the one that feels the most natural to you. You can use whichever one you want, as it’s just a different way to control the swing.

Classic – You press the button once to start the meter, press it again for power, and then press it a third time for accuracy.

Arcade – You pull the joystick back, hold it as a meter fills, and then push it forward, with your movement determining whether or not your shot is straight.

Tour – You pull the joystick back and then push it forward, but here the speed of which you move the joystick determines the power and speed of your shot.

You’ll use the crosshairs to shape your shot, although in Tour mode you will then need to mimic the aim indicator as well.
