CPU Requirements

Sons of the Forest requires that you have a minimum of an INTEL CORE I5-8400 or AMD RYZEN 3 3300X processor. For the best game experience an INTEL CORE I7-8700K or AMD RYZEN 5 3600X (or better) processor is recommended.

Some games require a powerful CPU in order to manage the game engine. The game engine deals with things like processing network communications for multi-player games and the AI of your enemies in strategy games. Some games are considered CPU intensive or CPU dependent. Most modern games offload work directly to the GPU and don't require a powerful CPU for demanding visuals.

Memory Requirements

It is recommended that you have a minimum of 12 GB RAM to run Sons of the Forest. The recommended amount of memory for the best game experience is 16 GB RAM (or more).
