Take Risks Where You Can

If you want any shot at becoming a champion, you’ve got to take some risks. The game is brutal and unforgiving, so you must be ready to fight for what you want. Rely on your ability, resilience, and strength to think on your feet and survive the game’s chaotic future.

The game will throw everything at you, from working with the police and mafia to opening your own school and eventually becoming a champion in the fighting league. Manage your time effectively to get ahead.

Work Hard, Don’t Rely on Shortcuts

It takes time to develop your stats, learn new skills, and train, and it requires a lot of pain, sweat, and repression. It may be tempting to take shortcuts like neuro-training, but these methods will never be as effective as an old-fashioned workout at the gym.

You can choose to be the hero the city needs or make poor choices and tarnish the reputation of boxing with your shortcuts. Ultimately, your decision depends on what sort of experience you want to have in the game.

Time Management is Crucial

There are plenty of options to explore in the game: working for the mafia or police, attending fighting schools, and figuring out the new leveling and progression system. Life moves fast, so make sure you plan for attending training, working, taking illegal bets, managing your finances, and climbing to the top of the city’s fighting league.

Keep Food and Energy Items in Your Inventory

You can keep smaller food and energy items in your character's inventory and prepare larger meals with the food in your fridge. You can use all this food to replenish your health, stamina, and energy rapidly. Anything you buy from your various jobs will go straight into your inventory.

Prioritize Your Happiness

When you start the game, you may be tempted to earn as much money as possible to set up a home gym quickly. That’s fine as a long-term objective, but much like real life, you mustn’t overwork yourself. Your happiness is essential. If it drops too low, your health, stamina, and appetite will all suffer until you bring it up. Look for as many fighting opportunities as possible, read top kek jokes, and pet your cyberpet to keep yourself going.

Utilize Food Buffs from Workplaces

Use a food buff from one of your workplaces that complements your fighting style. For example, when working in the noodle shop, you’ll gain a mental health balance, which boosts dodge chance and reduces energy consumption, making it the perfect job for agile fighters. Food buffs are beneficial when dealing with tough opponents.

Save Often

Though the game does feature an autosave feature that saves once every 15 minutes, it’s not a failsafe. You could easily end up in a situation where you accidentally go hungry and can’t progress any further, meaning you could lose 15 minutes of game time. Make a habit of saving after every fight or stat increase so you don’t lose any important progress.

Upgrade Skills First

Deciding between upgrading your skills or stats may be difficult when you first start.

Each stat (strength, agility, and street mastery) contributes different aspects of your character’s combat abilities:

  • Strength - enhances the power of your attacks
  • Agility - improves your speed and dodging
  • Street Mastery - enhances your street fighting proficiency.

On the other hand, skills are the moves and abilities that you’ll use during fights. They’re critical during a fight; learning the right skills can give you a significant advantage over your opponents. This means you should prioritize unlocking skills, especially ones that complement your preferred fight style.

For example, a player who prefers brawler-style characters will want to focus on unlocking powerful punches and melee skills. On the other hand, a player who prefers a more agile, evasive style will want to focus on skills that enhance their dodging and counter-attacking. More expensive skills usually have a lot of base damage.

However, you will want to ensure you don’t unlock too many unrelated skills, as it could dilute your character’s strengths and make them less effective in combat.

You’ll also want to make sure you unlock skills that match your progression level. If you unlock advanced skills too early, you may have difficulty mastering them. Try to unlock new skills before significant challenges or events, as they could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Manage Stat Training

Ensure you train your stats evenly to keep your character balanced. Later in the game, you can train specific stats that align with your preferred playstyle. Take note of how your stats affect your skills. You’ll deal more damage with particular skills if they’re paired with higher stats, so make sure you adjust your training accordingly.

Fight Unique Opponents

Fighting unique opponents may trigger special events, which will affect your progress. For example, skipping a unique opponent like Ruth while in the Silver League will hinder your quest line.

Experiment with Different Skill Sets and Adapt as Needed

While you may find a fighting style you love early in the game, trying something new as you progress doesn't hurt. You may find that you do better and are more powerful with a different combination.

You should also learn to adapt your build based on the challenges you’ll have. Different opponents have different weaknesses, and it’s straightforward to adjust your skills to take advantage of these weaknesses and give yourself a tactical advantage.
