You can unlock weapons with infinite ammo by finishing the game in the ways described below.

• Samurai Edge - You must finish the game in less than 5 hours on Normal or Hard.
• Rocket Launcher - You must finish the game in less than 3 hours on Normal or Hard.
• Ingram - You must finish the game on Normal or Hard without saving.

• When you play as Jill, Barry will shoot the first zombie if you return to the dining room without killing it.
• Plant 42 can be killed with the knife. It should take about 12 hits.
• On the floor above the dining room, if you stand behind the statue, the zombies will walk into it on their way to you. This makes it easy to kill them, even with the knife.

You can unlock new costumes by finishing the game in the ways described below. To change costumes, go to the second-floor room with the mirror in it. You must unlock the closet, first.

• Key (ability to change costumes) - You must finish the game while saving the two side characters. In Jill's scenario, you must save Barry and Chris. In Chris's scenario, you must save Rebecca and Jill.
• "The Mexican" costumes (Chris and Rebecca) - You must finish a playthrough as Chris.
• Code Veronica costume (Chris) - You must finish two playthroughs as Chris.
• Sarah Connor costume (Jill) - You must finish a playthrough as Jill.
• Resident Evil 3 costume (Jill) - You must finish two playthroughs as Jill.

Green Herbs heal 25% of your health, but you can also combine herbs into the following mixes:

• Green Herb + Green Herb - This heals 60%.
• Green Herb + Red Herb - This heals all of your health.
• Green Herb + Blue Herb - This heals 25% and removes the "poison" status.
• Green Herb + Green Herb + Green Herb - This heals all of your health.
• Green Herb + Green Herb + Blue Herb - This heals 60% and removes the "poison" status.
• Green Herb + Red Herb + Blue Herb - This heals all of your health and removes the "poison" status.

You can unlock new game modes by finishing the game in the ways described below.

• Once Again - You must finish the game to unlock this mode.

• Invisible Enemy - You must finish the game on Real Survivor Mode. In this mode, enemies are invisible.
• One Dangerous Zombie (zombie Forest Speyer has grenades on his vest that will kill you if shot) - You must finish both characters' scenarios (on the same save file) on Normal difficulty or better. In this mode, once Forest reanimates as a zombie, his vest will be covered in grenades. If you shoot him, you will die.

Two special messages can also be unlocked.

1. Tofu message - You must reach the laboratory while playing on Easy, and use "MOLE" as one of the passwords.
2. Shinji Mikami credits message - You must finish the game in less than 5 hours on Invisible Enemy mode.
