Easter Eggs Hidden Throughout the Game

Œufs de Pâques

Fromsoft has developed some fantastic games

The Moonlight Greatsword

This is one of Fromsoft’s most iconic weapons and features in many of their games, so it makes sense it would be in this one, too. While its style matches the futuristic style of the game, rather than keeping the classic hilt and blade look, it’s still the beloved Moonlight Greatsword.

Not only has it kept the name, but its color and attack patterns are the same as those that came before it, shooting off a powerful beam of blue light while you take out the enemies around you.

The Boss Fake-out Death

In many Fromsoft games, there’s always one Boss that appears to have been taken out, drawing you into a false sense of security before rising for round two, coming at you far more aggressively than before.

CEL 240 is a mid-way boss that is an excellent example of this. After you gun her down, there’s a brief pause before she rises and begins her second bought of attacks, becoming far more erratic this time and proving to be one of the more challenging bosses in the game.

Pin Wheel Enemies

As you travel through the world, you’ll encounter various enemies, though none are more irritating than the automatic, bladed wheels. They’re speedy, can only be taken out from the side, and are a regular occurrence in Fromsoft Games.

Their most memorable and least fun rendition is the infamous Bone Wheels in the Dark Souls series.

Alternate Endings

As with most of Fromsoft’s games, this one features three endings: the good ending, the bad ending, and the true ending. This game differs because it also has three different bosses for you to fight based on which ending you get—even more reason to go back and try to play through all the endings.

A Boss that Can Only be Defeated by One Weapon

It isn’t a Fromsoft game without a boss that you can only defeat with a particular weapon. Dark Souls 3 had Yhorm the Giant, and Elden Ring had Rykard. It’s only fair that this game has its own version of such a monster, and that honor belongs to the Ice Worm.

Starting as an Underdog

The game starts you off as an independent mercenary who crashes on the planet Rubicon and has to complete various tasks before people start to notice you. This plays out similarly to previous Fromsoft Games, in which you start at the bottom and have to build your way up to the point that you are literally reshaping the universe as people know it.
