Brad Vickers
Œufs de PâquesWhile Brad Vickers isn’t present as a zombie in the Resident Evil 2 remake like he was in the original, if you go to the spot where the zombie would have been, you’ll find a S.T.A.R.S. poster featuring him.
Nemesis
Œufs de PâquesThere are some destroyed walls prior to the arrival of Mr. X, hinting at Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 having been there. In addition to being a nod to Resident Evil 3, some fans are hopeful this is a hint toward a Resident Evil 3 remake.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure reference
Œufs de PâquesIn the main office, there is a locker with the name JoJo on it. This is a reference to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and was in the original Resident Evil 2 as a shout-out to the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game Capcom had made around the same time.
Rebecca Photo
Œufs de PâquesWhen you open the drawer to Wesker’s desk, you not only find a custom part for your weapon, but also a roll of film. If you take it and develop it, yes, it is indeed a picture of Rebecca Chambers in sports gear. This was present in the original Resident Evil 2 if you examined Wesker’s desk 50 times.
Wellcome Leon
Œufs de PâquesThe “Welcome Leon” banner has an extra space between the “l” and “c” as though another letter would have been there, and you can find a fallen letter “l” on one of the desks. This is a nod to the original Resident Evil 2 misspelling the banner as “Wellcome Leon.”
Dead Rising reference
Œufs de PâquesNear the start of the game, there is a poster for Frank East: Freelance Photographer for Hire, a reference to Frank West from Capcom’s Dead Rising series.
RE7 Mannequins
Œufs de PâquesIn Claire’s campaign, you can reach a room in the RPD building that contains three of the mannequins from Resident Evil 7.
We do it!
Œufs de PâquesThe plaque under the bust in the Reception Room includes the text “We do it!” This is a nod to the Resident Evil 2 remake’s producer, who had that phrase on his shirt when he revealed that Capcom had allowed them to start working on the remake.
Release date poster
Œufs de PâquesAt the start of the game, the gas station includes a “Staff Wanted” sign with a phone number written on it: 1998-01-29. While that might look odd for a phone number, it’s because it’s the date of the original Resident Evil 2 released in Japan.
Rita Phillips / Outbreak reference
Œufs de PâquesOne of the RPD desks has a nameplate for Rita Phillips. She was a playable character in Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
Localization Heroes
Œufs de PâquesThere is a pedestal that lists several people as heroes: these are the names of people who worked on the game’s localization team.
Jill's Dog
Œufs de PâquesIn the original Resident Evil 2, there was a photograph on Jill’s desk that couldn’t be clearly seen, but showed a friend of hers implied to possibly be her boyfriend. In the remake, however, it is now a photo of a dog, as the developers felt she would be a dog owner.
