In the MyCareer mode, if you move the camera to look at the left side of the ring during the highlight reel in the run-down high school gym arena, you can spot a cardboard box that has written on it: “Dirty Deeds: On the Fringe of Lunacy.” This is a reference to Dean Ambrose, whose nickname was The Lunatic Fringe and whose finisher was known as Dirty Deeds. He is no longer in the series, as he left the WWE.

If you check out the backstage office during the highlight reel, you can see a magazine on the desk that mentions a WWE 2K20 demo, but when you look at the side of the magazine, it is dated July 2029. In the same room, there is a similar magazine from September 2029, one from November 2029, and others that are most likely from 2029 as well.
