Cheats, Trainers, and Staying Safe

Коды

If you’re tempted by trainers or Cheat Engine tables, go in eyes open.

  • What they do: Toggle infinite health/resources, tweak unit stats, or unlock gear paths.
  • Risks: Instability, broken saves, disabled achievements, and conflicts with updates.
  • Safer habits:
    • Play offline when using trainers
    • Back up saves before you experiment
    • Verify game files after patch days
    • Avoid mixing mods with achievement hunts
  • Use at your own risk—and don’t take them into any online-connected features.

Achievement Pointers and Easy Early Unlocks

Разблокируемый

If you like checklists, there’s plenty to chase—campaign milestones, perfect clears, chest hunts, and trickier mission challenges.

  • Start with campaign basics. Your first victory pops an early achievement and opens the door to more.
  • Open every chest on a map when the objective allows; many achievements track thorough exploration.
  • Replay tough missions after upgrades to tick off challenge conditions with less pain.
  • Keep a rotating save. If an achievement bugs or a requirement is missed, you won’t have to redo hours.

Treasure Hunts and Ancient Ruins

Пасхальные яйца

Exploration pays. Hidden spots and old ruins often hide powerful gear, unique unit options, or juicy lore.

  • Follow research objectives. They’re breadcrumbs to crystals and secrets the game doesn’t over-explain.
  • Check side paths. If a route looks “out of the way,” it’s probably holding a chest or artifact.
  • Gear spikes are real. One great find can make a boss fight feel like a sparring match.

Bugs, Crashes, and Quick Fixes

Сбои

Most issues are fixable with a little housekeeping.

  • Patch first. Make sure you’re on the latest version—many crash and tracking bugs get hotfixed.
  • Verify files (PC). Corrupted data is a stealthy culprit.
  • Achievement hiccups: Sometimes a patch resolves it, but progress may not retroactively count. Keep a pre-mission save you can replay.
  • Stutters/freezes: Lower post-processing, update GPU drivers, and cap FPS if your rig is spiking.
  • Hard crashes: Check overlays and background apps; disable the noisy ones during play.

Factions and Friends: Working the Map’s Politics

Подсказки

It’s not just undead versus you. Different factions shape how your campaign flows.

  • Back your allies. Some missions tilt if you help a faction early, unlocking better rewards or easier fights later.
  • Expect tradeoffs. Picking sides can close certain routes or quests while opening others.
  • Scout first. Knowing who’s where (and what they bring) helps you pick the path that feeds your resource plan.

Tactical Combat 101: Positioning, Cover, and Objectives

Руководства

Stones Keeper’s turn-based fights are all about where you stand and what you spend. Every move costs action points, so think two turns ahead before you commit.

  • Use cover and angles. The map’s clutter isn’t just dressing—hide behind it to soak less damage. Just remember: it’s destructible.
  • Check those tooltips. Units show damage, range, ammo, weak points, and defenses. Peek before you swing.
  • Every unit can go melee or ranged. Your “ranged” archer can still bonk something in a pinch, and vice versa.
  • Objectives change the plan. You’ll do more than wipe squads: protect a priest, escort wagons, hold zones, nab chests. Don’t turtle when you need to sprint.
  • Layer your formation. Tanks up front (Knights, mounted units), healers and buffers tucked behind, ranged units with sight lines in the middle.
  • Don’t overextend. Moving to the perfect tile is worthless if you’ve got no points left to attack or defend.

Build Your Warband: Recruitment, Roles, and Specialization

Руководства

Your floating fortress is your roster factory. The Barracks recruits, your resources pay the bill, and talents/equipment shape your roles.

  • Core roles:
    • Knights – frontline, durable, body-blockers
    • Paladins – heals and support; keep them covered
    • Rangers/Gunners – consistent ranged DPS; protect their sight lines
    • Gryphon Riders – mobile threats that finish or flank
  • Banked XP = control. Battle XP accumulates in a pool; you decide who levels and when. Funnel levels into your carries or fix weak links.
  • Branch your talents. Specialize instead of dabbling everywhere. Make a real wall, a real healer, a real nuker.
  • Gear matters. Weapons/armor from the Smithy and elixirs from the Alchemy Shop push units over key breakpoints. Upgrade deliberately, not just the shiny new thing.
  • Protect your support. Paladins and fragile ranged units should live behind armor and on safe tiles. If they’re dying, your formation is wrong.

Bombs and Breakables: Mastering the Map

Руководства

Bombs are more than demolition—they’re tempo control.

  • Open new routes. Blow walls to flank, hit objectives faster, or unlock better sight lines.
  • Delete enemy cover. Strip their safe spots so your ranged damage lands clean.
  • Create choke points. Place explosives to block lanes and buy your healers a turn.
  • Save a few for emergencies. Limited supplies mean you need a reserve for that last-ditch escape or objective clear.
  • Watch mission asks. Some tasks (like clearing wreckage for wagons) require bombs to progress—don’t burn them all on flashy plays.

Castle HQ and Resources: What to Upgrade First

Руководства

Your floating island is a mobile economy. Spend smart to keep your army humming.

  • Resources to watch: Gold, wood, stone, plus elemental crystals (fire/water/earth/wind) for advanced gear and upgrades.
  • Key buildings:
    • Barracks – recruit new blood
    • Smithy – craft/upgrade weapons and armor
    • Temple – resurrect fallen units and manage talent upgrades
    • Alchemy Shop – potions and consumables
    • Market – trade surplus into what you actually need
    • Tavern – mercenaries once unlocked
  • Early priorities: Consistent income and survivability. A sturdier frontline and reliable healing reduce expensive resurrections.
  • Route planning = profit. Pick missions that feed your current bottleneck (wood today, crystals tomorrow).
  • Use the Market. Convert lopsided stockpiles instead of stalling on upgrades.

Turn Economy Without Tears: AP, Pathing, and Sequencing

Руководства

Clean turns win fights. Sloppy turns lose them.

  • Plan before you click. Visualize your entire turn: who moves, who shoots, who heals. Then execute.
  • Mind the meters. Movement eats action points you’ll need for abilities. Don’t end your turn a tile early and useless.
  • Sequence matters. Debuffs first, nukes second, finishers last. Don’t waste damage into overkill.
  • Respect time limits. Some maps punish dawdling. Prioritize paths that keep you on schedule.
  • Use clear indicators. Movement highlights can be subtle—zoom and confirm tiles before committing.

Platform Notes and Cross-Progression Tips

Руководства

Stones Keeper is available on PC (Steam) and consoles like Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

  • PC perks: Broad language support and easy patching. Great if you like tinkering with settings.
  • Xbox Play Anywhere: If supported for your purchase, you can move between console and Windows with shared progress—double-check your store listing.
  • On-the-go Switch: Solid for portable sessions; keep an eye on readability and text size in handheld.
  • Pick your ecosystem. If you care about achievements, controllers, or cross-play with your household, let that decide where you buy.
