• MAGICMISSILE – Unlocks all modes (including Snowboard, Giant, First Person) and flips on Super Stats, Always Perfect, Perfect Manuals, and Perfect Rails.
• backdoor – Unlocks the full cheat menu. Pause during Career to toggle individual cheats. Doesn’t auto-unlock hidden characters or bonus levels.
• roadtrip – Unlocks every level (yes, including Cruise Ship and the THPS1 trio: Warehouse, Burnside, Roswell). Completes the game for your current skater, grants all stat points and decks. Finishing levels still earns trick slots/new skaters.
• YOHOMIES – Unlocks all characters instantly, including the secret and bonus ones.
• Peepshow – Unlocks all FMVs. Case-sensitive.
• PUMPMEUP – Max stats for your current skater without grinding Career.
• WeEatDirt – Opens up dev characters. Head to Create-a-Skater and enter specific programmer names to pull in their pre-made skaters.

Knock out Career methodically and the roster gets wild.

• Darth Maul – Complete all 54 goals and earn gold at all 3 competitions with one skater.
• Wolverine – Do the full-clear and golds with two different skaters.
• Kelly Slater – Finish all 54 goals and gold every comp with eight skaters.
• Demoness – A max-stats secret character with unique specials (including the AC Air worth 666). Unlock by meeting her specific progression requirements.
• Bonus levels – Cruise Ship and THPS1 classics (Warehouse, Burnside, Roswell) can be opened through Career milestones or via the roadtrip code if you just want to tour.
• Neversoft devs – Enter WeEatDirt, then punch in programmer names in Create-a-Skater to load their custom models and boards.

THPS3 is packed with little winks and wild crossovers if you slow down and look.

• Neversoft Eyeball – The studio’s signature eyeball pops up across levels as props and decor. A quiet flex from the devs.
• Darth Maul – Playable and floating on a hoverboard, horns and all. A time-capsule crossover that didn’t make it into later remakes.
• Wolverine – Another early-2000s collab. Unique specials and attitude to match.
• Developer cameos – Type specific dev names in Create-a-Skater after the right code and you’ll spawn their custom models.
• Skate shop reactions – The shopkeeper reacts differently to secret characters: Force choking for Darth Maul, fight-ready glare for Wolverine, face-covering for Officer Dick, flirting for Private Carrera, disgust or fainting for Ollie the Magic Bum, screaming flames for Demoness. It’s goofy, and it rules.
• Airport rework – Post–September 2001 changes altered enemy concepts and goal text. You’ll still spot traces like “NoBomb 2000” labels and leftover model naming if you dig.
• Skater Island IRL – Based on a real Rhode Island park that later closed after a roof collapse. The in-game version captures it in its prime.

THPS3’s pretty polished, but a few quirks still tag along.

• Rail/geometry snags – Some rails don’t align cleanly into ramps; you might get jolted or stop dead. A slightly earlier ollie or a tighter angle often fixes it.
• Animation clipping – Flip tricks can cause awkward arm flails; fingerflips look especially funky. Purely visual.
• Frame dips (PS2) – Busy areas or trick-heavy strings can stutter a bit. Save your riskiest specials for clearer zones.
• Stat transfer hiccups (PS2) – Rare cases of stats not carrying between playthroughs. Keep multiple save slots as a backup.
• Airport version oddities – PS1 vs. PS2 layouts and timings differ more than you’d expect thanks to late changes. Don’t sweat route differences if you swap platforms.

You don’t need perfect hands—just smart fundamentals.

• Stats to prioritize: Boost Speed, Air, and Ollie first for easier momentum and hang time. Then level Manual and Rail Balance so your combos don’t wobble off.
• Combo flow: Grind → ollie → manual → flip/varial → repeat. Keep variety to avoid point penalties. The multiplier climbs with each unique trick in the chain.
• Special meter timing: Build meter with safe strings, then cash in with specials where you’ve got space and bail-outs. Gold meter = go time.
• Hidden multi-flips: Double/triple versions aren’t listed. Do a kickflip/heel flip and quickly tap the flip button again (or twice) for more points. Works for shove-its and impossibles too.
• Lip tricks: Approach perpendicular, hit grind to stall, balance with left/right, then ollie or lean back in. Mix directions for different variations/values.
• Find secret areas: Wallride weird corners, test odd rails, and look for breakables. Some spots need higher stats to reach safely.
• Plan goals: For high score, route long rails and big airs. For trick-specific goals, equip the needed moves before the timer starts.
