Secret Safe and Door Codes:
BatoteirosLocked Door Code: Just after you meet B-12, in the room to the right, you will find the code 3748 written on a whiteboard. This code opens the locked door further down the hallway.
Binary Safe Code: First, you need to pick up “Safe’s Mysterious Password” that is attached to the safe. Take the note to Elliot and show it to him. Elliot will give you a hint that you need to go to the bar. The code 1283 is written on the wall. This is the code for the safe.
Seamus Secret Room: During Chapter 6, while in Seamus’ house, you can find the clue by the picture on the right. After that, look at the clocks the time on each of the clocks is your code: 2511.
Cat Badge Safe: During Chapter 10, jump through the shopkeeper's window, next to the green poster that reads “512MB DDR-100”. At the back of the shop, written on a shelf, is the words 2458:edoc. This is just the code: 8542.

Tip: Use invisibility and speed tweaks to practice tricky chases, then switch back to vanilla when you’re ready to nail them legit.
Back To The Future
Ovos de PáscoaAs you meet the doctor in the Dead End Chapter, you will enter the house he stays in. If you jump on the bench and try to knock off the Defluxer, the Doc will start speaking about science stuff. One of the lines he says is, “the Defluxer needs 1.12 gigawatts of power” this is a reference to the scene where Doctor Emmet Power tells Marty Mcfly about the time traveling car and the power it needs.
Skyrim Easter Eggs
Ovos de PáscoaThere are 2 Skyrim easter eggs that have been found so far. The first one is in the marketplace, where you can find a robot called Jenkins digging through the trash. Jenkin says the line, “Some may call this junk. Me, I call them treasures”. This line is said by a merchant in Whiterun called Belathor. Belathor says this line when you begin a dialogue with him.
The second easter egg can be found at a food stall in an alleyway as you enter Midtown. The stall has a sad customer sitting at the counter reminiscing about the old days Until he took a screwdriver to the knee.
Half Life Reference
Ovos de PáscoaIf you turn your torch on while on the subway cart, at the beginning of the Midtown Chapter, you will find A crowbar lying on the seat.
The Simpsons
Ovos de PáscoaIf you head into the bar in the slums, you will see a neon sign that reads Dufer Bar. This is a reference to the made-up beer in The Simpsons called Duff Beer.
Crime Lords
Ovos de PáscoaIn the Jail Chapter, there will be a few named robots, two of which are named Pablo and Capone. These are a reference to 2 very well-known crime lords, Pablo Escobar and Al Capone.
Midtown’s Sojiro: Persona 5 (and a Skyrim wink)
Ovos de PáscoaThere’s a robot named Sojiro running a tiny bar in Midtown, rocking a look straight out of Persona 5’s Sojiro Sakura. He moans about his place shutting down and drops a “took a screwdriver to the knee” line—yes, that’s a cheeky Skyrim mashup. You’ll even spot a display ramen bowl, nodding to Cafe Leblanc.
D&D Robots: Lyn and Pinu’s Tabletop Chatter
Ovos de PáscoaIn Midtown’s residential block, robots Lyn and Pinu nerd out about character sheets, prep time, and their beloved vintage cards—pure Dungeons & Dragons energy. It’s a fun touch that shows these bots picked up more than just chores from humanity.
Elliot the Coder is a Mr. Robot Nod
Ovos de PáscoaIn the Slums, Elliot is a brilliant, bashful hacker who won’t fix your tracker until he warms up—literally. Hand him a poncho and watch the parallels to Mr. Robot’s Elliot Alderson click into place: antisocial, gifted, guarded.
Antvillage and Identity: Big Nier: Automata Energy
Ovos de Páscoa- Antvillage mirrors Pascal’s Village—peaceful machines, homes built into a massive tree, gentler vibes amid the rust.
- Midtown’s Vladee muses about swapping parts until you’re not sure you’re still “you,” echoing Nier: Automata’s existential riffs and the Ship of Theseus thought experiment.
Doc’s Pawprint Journal (Gravity Falls nod)
Ovos de PáscoaPoke around Doc’s place in the Slums and you’ll spot a red, leatherbound book stamped with a pawprint—a playful twist on the iconic journals from Gravity Falls (handprint swapped for pawprint, obviously).
Hat Heist Homage to Untitled Goose Game
Ovos de PáscoaIn Antvillage, there’s a stealthy hat-stealing bit that mirrors the playful theft shenanigans of Untitled Goose Game. Nudge, lift, relocate—then enjoy the cheeky musical sting when you pull it off. Honk… or meow.
Club Bots in Helmets: A Daft Punk Tribute
Ovos de PáscoaMidtown’s nightclub (Chapter 10) features two DJs in reflective outfits and domed helmets—a loving wink to Daft Punk. French devs, neon cyber-club, electronic beats… it fits like a glove.
Morusque Plays Counting Stars—A Nujabes Tribute
Ovos de PáscoaBring all 8 music sheets to Morusque in the Slums and he’ll play “Counting Stars”—a nod to the late Japanese producer Nujabes. The mellow, jazzy vibe pairs perfectly with Stray’s wistful cyber-city.
TV QR Code Says “HELLO YOU”
Ovos de PáscoaFlip channels on a Slums TV until you hit a futuristic shopping broadcast. Scan the on-screen QR code to get binary for “HELLO YOU.” A tiny dev wave if you’re the curious type who channel-surfs.
Paper Bag Derp Mode (and a trophy)
Ovos de PáscoaFind a paper bag in the Slums and interact. It slides over your head, flips your controls, and your cat stumbles around until it falls off. It’s silly, on-brand cat chaos, and it unlocks “Curiosity Killed the Cat.” Check near Momo’s, Morusque’s hangout, and Super Spirit.
Flickering Lights and Dufer Bar: Stranger Things Vibes
Ovos de PáscoaEarly on, flickering orange lights guide you toward B-12—very “Christmas lights talking to Will” energy from Stranger Things. The Dufer Bar name also reads like a wink at the Duffer Brothers (or even Duff Beer, if you’re feeling Simpsons-y).
TF2’s Medic Lives on a Slums Wall
Ovos de PáscoaHunting Outsider notebooks? In one flat you’ll spot a mural nodding to Team Fortress 2’s Medic— a little slice of gaming history preserved in paint.
Meow at Cameras—They Nod Back
Ovos de PáscoaTry meowing at surveillance cameras scattered around the city. Many will give you an adorable little nod. It’s tiny, charming, and makes the world feel alive.
Bugs to Watch For (and Quick Fixes)
Glitches- Slums Switch Softlock – After pulling a switch then dying, the door may stay shut on reload. Fix: reload checkpoint or restart chapter; make cloud/USB backups before tough bits.
- Clementine AI Stall (Jailbreak) – She may stop pathing after the first door. Fix: reload checkpoint or restart chapter.
- Trophy Unlock Quirks – Quitting to main menu mid-attempt can bork Sneakitty/Territory. Fix: use checkpoint reloads instead of main menu; avoid quitting until it pops.
- Notebook Desync – Notebooks missing or Momo won’t accept them. Fix: reload last checkpoint; if needed, restart the chapter.
- PC Rendering Crashes (DX11) – “LowLevelFatalError” UAV issues. Fixes to try: Steam launch options -d3d11, -dx11, or -dx12; update GPU drivers; weirdly, launching the Oculus app first helps some rigs.
Beginner Tips
DicasYou Will Always Make The Jump: In Stray, if the game prompts for you to make a jump, you will always make it safely. Holding down the jump key will also chain jumps over gaps.
All The NPCs Are Worth Talking To: The NPCs in Stray all have dialogue and something to say that adds to the beautiful world around you. Some also give you hints as to where you need to go.
Your Items Are Safe: In Stray, you will be giving items to many different NPCs. If you can’t remember who a specific item goes to, just give it to everyone, the NPCs can’t take it from you if it isn’t theirs.
Act Like A Cat: Due to Stray being about a cat, a lot of what you can do is what our household felines do. For instance, if you see a pretty vase on the table, you can walk closer and knock it off of the counter!
Tassels Indicate Travel Paths: If you see any ribbons sticking out of a fan or a window, you should follow them. Generally, these take you to new areas within Stray and lead you to secrets. Sometimes they take you forward in the main quest.
Read the Prompts: Stray’s Context Controls
DicasStray uses context-sensitive actions. If you don’t see a prompt, you can’t do the thing—jumping, scratching, interacting. When in doubt:
- Reposition the camera to surface edges.
- Look for sparkles/icons that indicate climb paths.
- Pan slowly—prompts pop in at specific angles/distances.
Think Vertical: Look Up, Down, and Around
DicasSolutions often live above or below street level. Scan for:
- AC units, pipes, signage, balcony rails—they’re your stepping stones.
- Alternating levels—rooftops, window ledges, catwalks.
- Hidden nooks—vertical routes hide collectibles, memories, and shortcuts.
Dodging Zurks: Zigzag and Live
DicasWhen Zurks swarm, don’t run straight. Weave left-right while sprinting to throw off their angle and stop latches. For the Chapter 2 no-grab challenge:
- Practice the route, restart on any latch prompt.
- Cut corners wide, then cross back.
- Stay calm—panicky inputs cause dead ends.
Trophy Roadmap: Easy Plat with Smart Routing
GuiasStray packs 24 trophies, with a relatively chill difficulty (~2/10). Most pop naturally; a few need planning.
