No Console Commands (Yet) – What You Can and Can't Do

Batoteiros

If you're hunting for a dev console or cheeky command line magic, RV There Yet? keeps it locked down. No in-game console, no debug menu, no launch args that suddenly unlock god mode. It's intentional—keeps co-op stable and prevents physics chaos from turning into exploits.

What about trainers?

  • WeMod support is reportedly in the works, but not public as of late. Expect anything that does arrive to be single-player/QoL focused. Don't bring cheats into co-op and ruin the trip for your crew.

What to do instead:

  • Lean on fundamentals: master the clutch and winch, coordinate roles, and keep a tool stash in the RV.
  • Use checkpoints: they're frequent enough that a reload is your safety net, not a punishment.

Achievements & Unlockables Status

Desbloqueáveis

There aren't any achievements in the game yet. The devs have said they're working on a full set to drop in one update rather than piecemeal.

Likely categories (based on how the game plays):

  • Completion: finish the whole trip without totaling
  • Team care: keep everyone healthy/happy
  • Skill challenges: optional puzzles or tricky segments
  • Mileage: hit specific distance milestones
  • Co-op runs: complete the journey with a full crew

When they arrive, expect:

  • No save reset needed—your progress starts counting once the patch lands, with Steam tracking and in-game notifications.

The Cassette Tape Mystery

Ovos de Páscoa

You'll notice cassette tapes lying around—rest stops, garages, inside the RV—looking all nostalgic and tauntingly collectible. Right now, they're purely decorative. You can't pick them up, play them, or trigger anything with them.

Why they're cool anyway:

  • They add a ton of vibe and environmental storytelling—like echoes of old road trips.
  • They could be foreshadowing: an eventual mixtape player, lore logs, or a collectible set. No promises, but the placements feel deliberate.

Fun community angle:

  • Players are cataloging tape locations and hunting for patterns. Nothing concrete yet, but it's a great excuse to explore off the beaten path.

Bugs, Fixes, and Workarounds You'll Actually Use

Glitches

Winch remote disappears:

  • Check the floor under the steering wheel. If it's not there, reload last checkpoint to restore it.

Stuck elevator after the river:

  • The mountain elevator can fail to rise. Retry the button a few times or reload the nearby checkpoint—it's temperamental but recoverable.

Mouse inversion missing:

  • Set sensitivity in-game, close the game.
  • Go to: %localappdata%\\Ride\\Saved\\Config\\Windows
  • Open `GameUserSettings.ini`, add a minus sign to the Y value on MouseSensitivity (invert Y), save, relaunch.

Can't leave the driver's seat:

  • Just press E. Yes, really.

Controller support:

  • Official support isn't ready. Steam community profiles can emulate KB/M, but manual shifting via emulation is clunky.

Getting stuck in geometry:

  • There's no “unstuck” command. Reload the last checkpoint—they're frequent enough that you won't lose much.

Joining friends / connection issues:

  • If joining hangs or black screens: restart Steam and the game, then verify files.
  • No crossplay and no public matchmaking—friends-only on Steam.

DirectX crashes and stutters:

  • Run the game in DX11, update your GPU drivers.
  • On low-end rigs, try: 1080p, borderless, 60 FPS cap, Lumen off, shadows/GI/reflections/post on Low.

Proximity chat bug (host hears everyone globally):

  • Sometimes reloading from the last checkpoint helps temporarily. Hosts should expect no distance-based audio until it's patched.

Starter Survival Kit: Controls, Roles, and Smart Habits

Dicas

The game doesn't hold your hand, so a little muscle memory goes a long way.

Key controls to know:

  • WASD move, Mouse look, Space jump, E interact
  • Q: hold to clutch for shifting, or hold to aim/throw items
  • R: start/stop engine; P park; A/D steer; Space brake
  • Right Mouse: horn; L: headlights; V: VOIP
  • X emote wheel, F push, Left Ctrl + Mouse fine “waddle” hand control

Team roles that actually help:

  • Driver: gears/lines, calls out obstacles
  • Mechanic: engine oil, tires, frame/body repairs
  • Quartermaster: stashes tools/consumables in cabinets, tracks stock
  • Scout/Winch Tech: anchors lines, spots safer routes

Items to always carry or stash:

  • Burgers (health + stamina), Antidote (snakes), EpiPens (revives)
  • Motor Oil (engine), Bear Spray (best anti-bear button)
  • Hammer, Drill, Scrap (repairs)

How to Actually Drive This Beast (Manual Transmission Made Simple)

Guias

Manual shifting is the first real boss.

Basic flow:

  • R to start the engine
  • Hold Q to clutch, use Mouse to select gear (1 to start), release Q
  • W to accelerate; repeat Q + Mouse to upshift
  • Space to brake; select R (via clutch) to reverse
  • Use A/D to steer; P to park; R again to shut the engine off

Winch smarts (your real MVP):

  • Each RV has front and rear winches
  • E to grab, walk line to a solid anchor (tree/rock), Right Mouse to attach
  • One player anchors outside, another operates the remote inside—slow pulls > sudden lurches
  • You can throw the hook with Q if the path’s awkward

Wildlife 101:

  • Bears: best answer is Bear Spray (one good spray, instant retreat). No spray? A risky hammer bop to the face might scare it off. Safe zones: bears don't cross bridges or go near lava.
  • Snakes: venom drains health over time—carry Antidotes.

Health & stamina:

  • Burgers heal both on pickup. Time them before rough sections.
  • Cigs (1-3 to use) give tiny stamina bumps; Beer = brief strength; Lotion treats burns.

Checkpoints, Gas Stations, and How Progress Works

Guias

The route is handcrafted—same map, same sequence—so you can learn it run by run.

Checkpoints:

  • Auto-trigger across the valley (rest stops, gas, big terrain shifts)
  • They save everything: RV condition, inventory, team status, engine state
  • Each new checkpoint overwrites the last

Gas stations are special:

  • They act as checkpoints and revival hubs
  • If someone couldn't be revived with an EpiPen, look for their grave marker at the next station—interact to bring them back

Repairs & Maintenance: Keep the RV Alive

Guias

Engine upkeep:

  • Engine lives under the bed. If “Check Engine” pops up, grab Motor Oil, look at engine, hold Left Mouse to pour, E to finalize.
  • Stockpile oil—crashes drain durability faster.

Body and frame:

  • The green bar = body integrity. Aim the Hammer to see broken panels (highlighted).
  • Each panel costs 1 Scrap to fix. Keep it topped so deeper systems don't take hits.
  • Frame damage needs a Welding Machine found at garages. Position it under cracks and repair. Don't try to haul it forever—it's heavy and glitch-prone.

Tires:

  • Loose bolts? Use the Power Drill to tighten.
  • Lost a wheel? Pick it up, re-mount, then drill the bolts tight.
  • Spare tires show up at garages—worth grabbing if you've got space.
