Trainers That Actually Work in Halls of Torment

Batoteiros

If you’re tinkering with builds or just want a comfy farm session, trainer tools can smooth things out without digging into game files. Use them at your own risk and back up your saves.

WeMod

  • Simple to use with a clean UI and four toggles for things like health sustain, move speed, and resource gain.
  • Runs like a mod manager—no file editing needed.

PLITCH

  • Five handy codes covering damage, health, and resources.
  • Works great with the Steam version and is fast to toggle mid-run.

Cheat Engine (community tables)

  • For power users. Look for tables featuring:
    • Master Script: multiplies stat gains on level-up.
    • Experience Multiplier: dial in how quickly you level.
    • Camp Pointer: adjust gold and Torment Shards.
  • Powerful, but you’ll spend time setting it up.

FearLess Revolution

  • Community-made trainers with options similar to the paid tools.
  • Great for experimenting with wild damage builds on higher Torment levels.

Quick tips

  • Run trainers offline if you’re worried about cloud saves or weird syncs.
  • Disable them before exiting to prevent settings from sticking around unintentionally.

Token of Pain – The Haunted Caverns’ Best-Kept Secret

Ovos de Páscoa

The Haunted Caverns hides a “Lord Hex” called the Token of Pain—a secret pickup that kneecaps the boss. It’s not obvious, but once you know the route, it’s a game-changer for early clears.

How to find it

  • Follow the blood trails on the ground. They point you toward two separate obelisks.
  • At each obelisk, a marked circle appears. Stay inside and clear enemies until the counter hits zero.
  • The first circle drops a fragment. A glowing lore book nearby hints at what you’ve found.
  • The second circle usually wants around 100 kills. Clear it to get the second fragment.
  • The fragments auto-combine into the Token of Pain.

What it does

  • In both boss phases, you’ll hear a cue and see a glow beam from the token to the boss.
  • The boss’s HP gets chunked to roughly half at the start of each phase. Yes, both phases.

Pro tip

  • You don’t have to rush the circles. Wait until your build ramps (around the 15-minute mark) to erase those kill requirements fast.

Lord Hexes Across the Halls

Ovos de Páscoa

Once you spot the Token of Pain, you’ll start seeing the pattern. Most halls (not The Vault) hide a Lord Hex—a secret pickup that weakens the stage boss.

What to expect

  • Environmental breadcrumbs like trails, statues, or odd structures.
  • Contained kill zones similar to the obelisk circles.
  • A boss-slaying payoff once you collect the required fragments.

If you’re stuck on a stage boss, it’s worth scouting the map instead of rushing the timer.

Bugs to Watch For (and How to Work Around Them)

Glitches

Nobody loves losing a run to a bug. Here are the big ones players bump into and what you can try.

  • Ultra-wide spawn wonkiness
    • Enemies may spawn too far off-screen, slowing XP gain and achievement progress.
    • Fix: Run windowed and lower the resolution to a standard aspect ratio during farm runs.
  • Damage numbers tank performance
    • Rendering pop-off text can stutter your framerate.
    • Fix: Disable damage numbers in settings for a smoother run.
  • Blank screen after a hotfix
    • Some setups crash or show a black screen on launch.
    • Fix: Verify files, update GPU drivers, try -windowed launch option, and temporarily remove overlays.
  • Bard stops attacking
    • Autoattack randomly fails and you’re stuck manual firing.
    • Fix: Toggle autoattack off/on, swap an ability, or save/quit and resume to reset the state.

Early-Game Tips That Actually Scale

Dicas

Want cleaner clears and faster unlocks? These fundamentals do serious work.

  • Go heavy on damage first
    • Grab damage, crit chance, and crit damage whenever possible.
    • More damage = more kills = more XP = more power. Defense becomes less necessary.
  • Movement speed is survival
    • Keep moving to herd enemies into neat packs.
    • Classes like the Archer scale move speed per level and snowball hard.
  • Autoattack on, auto-aim off
    • Let autoattack handle the firing.
    • Manually aim to focus big clusters or elites, not the nearest target.
  • Prioritize your first scroll
    • Lightning Strike is an MVP early pick—reliable, aim-agnostic, and clears crowds.
  • Hunt elites
    • Red-bar elites drop gear. Once they show up, prioritize them over fodder for power spikes.
  • Break boxes and barrels
    • Free heals, gold, magnets, and power-ups. Great for early gold farming runs.
  • Save the Hand pickup
    • The Hand vacuums XP. Grab it late when the floor is carpeted in gems for turbo-levels.
  • Watch the timer
    • Boss spawns are predictable. Hit key power spikes before each spawn rather than grinding forever in the midgame.
