Oversteering Setup
HintsUsing the default settings, the cars tend to understeer. You can adjust your car to oversteer to compensate for this understeering if you find it to be an issue. To see how you can set up your car to oversteer, check out the video guide below.
Split-Screen
HintsAlthough split-screen is available in WRC 8 on most platforms and multiplayer modes, despite not being available at launch, have also been added, there is currently no way to unlock these modes in the Switch version. All other version include both split-screen and online multiplayer.
Beginning Tips
HintsThere is a great deal of customization available in the settings. Configure the settings to your liking and experiment with different styles to see what you like the best. You might consider starting on the easiest difficulty setting at first and then raising it once you’re used to the gameplay.
One of the modes available is calling Training. You can use the courses available here to practice playing the game, try out different cars, etc. Use the Training mode to learn how to race before you enter the other modes.
When you’re turning corners, tap the break lightly to slow your speed and take the corners smoothly, rather than attempting to make the corners either at full speed or by pressing down on the break. Managing your speed properly at turns and corners will be key to keeping up your speed for the whole race.
Money is important in Career Mode. Prioritize unlocking the financial director so that you can manage your money better. There are also perks in the R&D skill tree that lower your costs, another thing to consider prioritizing.
Reset R&D Skill Trees
HintsIt is not possible to fully max out the R&D team and unlock every option. However, if you don’t like the R&D options you’ve picked, you can reset your skill trees and keep the points to reassign them elsewhere.
Im rather old school and I still like to use the D-Pad instead of L3 for steering. Small problem, but I often managed to touch the Up/Down buttons and end up changing my viewpoint of the car.
Can I disable the Up/Down buttons, or re-assign the viewpoint buttons?
Thanks in advance ?
