Quicklinks

Unlimited Shivs Glitches

While holding an upgraded melee weapon find another melee weapon on the ground.

Hold triangle to swap weapons. Hold triangle again to pick up the upgraded melee weapon.

You now have materials to make a shiv or a duplicate upgraded melee weapon.

This can be repeated as many times as desired.

Unlock New Game Mode Unlockables

When you finish the game, you will unlock the New Game +, in which you start the game over but keep your collectibles, stats, weapon upgrades, and crafting level. The New Game + will be playable at the difficulty level you completed the main game, as well as any lower difficulty levels.

Jak and Daxter Easter Eggs

In ChooChoo Toys, there is a Jak and Daxter board game on the shelf, as well as an Uncharted board game.

Uncharted Easter Eggs

In Chapter 5: Pittsburgh, once you meet the brothers, the right bedroom has Jak and Daxter figurines on the dresser. A figurine of Nathan Drake, from Uncharted, sits on the bottom bunk.

Unlimited Shivs with Video Glitches

This can only be done on the un-patched version of the game.

By repeatedly replacing an upgraded melee weapon with a non-upgraded weapon, the material used to create the upgraded weapon will appear back in the inventory.

In the updated patched version when attempting this glitch/cheat, you will see the items appear in the inventory, but then they will almost immediately disappear.

Uncharted 12 Easter Eggs

One of the newspaper ads you can find is for "Uncharted 12," with Justin Bieber as the star.

Toolboxes to Upgrade Weapons Hints

There are five toolboxes you must find in order to upgrade all of your weapons. They must be picked up in the correct order, during your playthrough.

• Toolbox 1 - This is found in Chapter 4: Bill's Town - Graveyard. Go to the first floor of the church and locate the armory. The toolbox is in the corner beside the metal shelves.
• Toolbox 2 - The next is in Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Alone and Forsaken. As soon as you enter the garage, look left to find the toolbox.
• Toolbox 3 - The third is in Chapter 6: The Suburbs - Sewers. Stick to the path after the flooded area, until you spot a room to your left. The toolbox is inside.
• Toolbox 4 - This one is in Chapter 8: The University - Science Building. Once you reunite with Ellie in the building, head down the long hallway. At the very end, there is a locked room to your right. Force it open with a shiv to reach the toolbox inside.
• Toolbox 5 - The final toolbox is in Chapter 10: Bus Depot - Highway Exit. The toolbox is in the large tent on the left side of the Triage area.

Unlockable Safes Hints

There are several safes you can unlock, if you also find the combination.

• Chapter 3: The Outskirts - During the stealth section with the Infected Clickers, move along the left wall until you reach a store. Inside, climb onto a counter to reach the shelf above, where the safe combination is hidden. Take it back to the point where you started to sneak, and enter a store along the right. Get past the Runner to reach the safe by the counter.
• Chapter 4: Bill's Town - Once you reach main street, follow it all the way to the barrier to collect the combination. Backtrack until you reach the truck across from the pizza parlor. Go around the back of the truck to find the safe.
• Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Climb the ladder to the upper floor of the hotel. From there, go up the stairs to your right. The combination is in the corner of the room. Return to the lower, flooded level, and go through the door behind the counter left of the entrance. The safe is in the next room.
• Chapter 6: The Suburbs - In the empty neighborhood, enter the house beyond the fenced-off one, and go to the third floor. The combination is on the desk. Go back downstairs to the second floor, where you'll find the safe in a bedroom.

That's All I Got Trophy Guide Guides

To get the "That's All I Got" trophy, you must hear all five of Ellie's jokes, which are triggered when you wait a while at specific moments.

• Joke 1 - In Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Alone and Forsaken, defeat all of the enemies in the area before you climb over the bus. Stand in front of it and wait, and Ellie will eventually get out her joke book to tell the first joke.
• Joke 2 - In Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Alone and Forsaken, defeat all of the enemies in the bookstore and wait for the joke.
• Joke 3 - In Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Alone and Forsaken, take a look at the poster of the model when you reach the flooded street. After you look at it, talk to Ellie. Once you finish talking to her, wait.
• Joke 4 - In Chapter 5: Pittsburgh - Hotel Lobby, climb the ladder, get the artifact, and open the safe. Once you've done all that, climb the ladder again and wait.
• Joke 5 - In Chapter 6: The Suburbs - Suburbs, enter the house on the right and wait in the kitchen until you've heard all the dialogue. From there, cross the street and take a look at the "I'm Armed" message. Next, go to the ice cream truck. After that, head down the street until you can take a look at a red symbol on the wall. Wait there for Ellie's final jokes.
