How to Recruit Olibee, Gavlet, and Nei (Secret Units)

    Unlockables

A few fan-favorites are missable unless you follow specific steps. If you want them, plan ahead and stick to the script.

    Olibee Quasan & Gavlet Gablae

  • Whenever Olibee spawns as an enemy, deploy Daba.
  • Move Daba adjacent to Olibee and use Talk when available.
  • Make sure Daba lands the finishing blow on her mech in those encounters.
  • Repeat this across their appearances to recruit both Olibee and Gavlet.
  • Nei Mo Han (L-Gaim)

  • In any stage where Nei appears, deploy Daba and have him deliver the kill.
  • Maintain this pattern across her appearances and she’ll join up late in the campaign.
  • If a map looks risky, save before committing Daba to the finisher. Missed flags can cost you the unit.

    Known Issues and Safe-Save Habits

    Glitches

SRW Y is generally stable, but a few community-reported hiccups are worth guarding against.

    New Game Plus quirks

  • Keep an eye on pilot skill carryover and inheritance after NG+ transitions. Rarely, skills can duplicate or fail to apply as expected. Verify loadouts when you start a new cycle.
  • Save safety

  • Maintain multiple rotating saves and avoid overwriting your main file before big route splits or recruit flags.
  • Back up before long sessions, and don’t power down during autosaves to reduce the risk of corruption.
  • Fix Super Robot Wars Y on PC: stop crashing, freezing, not launching, black screens, and loading errors with step-by-step troubleshooting to stabilize the game.

Pilot Growth Basics: Aces, Skills, and Morale

    Hints

You’re building pilots as much as mechs. Focus on these pillars:

    Ace status

  • Consistent kills turn good pilots into Aces with potent passive bonuses. Track scores and funnel easy last-hits to target pilots.
  • Skill Programs

  • Customize builds via the shop. With STG Memory discounts, it’s cheaper to finesse roles: tanky dodgers, SP batteries, or MAP nuke specialists.
  • Morale management

  • High Morale amps damage and unlocks key attacks. Use Assist buffs, safe chip kills, and SP tools to reach thresholds early in each map.

Assist Link 101: Rank-Up Tricks and Best Uses

    Hints

Assist Link lets heroines and sub-characters impact battles as Assist Crew—and they’re worth investing in.

    How it grows

  • Use Assist Commands and finish missions to rank them up to Rank 4.
  • Each rank enhances effects; at Rank 4 you also unlock Assist Talk scenes and visual upgrades.
  • Why it’s good

  • Reliable HP/EN recovery, attack buffs, and other tactical nudges.
  • Frequent activations create a loop: more uses → more rank → stronger passives.
  • Quick tips

  • Prioritize Assist who cover your roster’s gaps (e.g., EN sustain for beam-heavy teams).
  • Tie STG Memory (GREEN) picks that boost Assist outcomes to squeeze extra value per activation.

MxP and Money: STG Memory Investments That Snowball

    Hints

The STG Memory tree turns MxP into permanent team power. There are three routes:

  • RED: Damage and offensive perks
  • BLUE: Defense and mobility
  • GREEN: Economy and Assist Link
  • Early on, lean GREEN—its effects multiply over time.

    Early priorities

  • Destruction Credits Bonus: +30% credits from kills
  • EXP/MxP multipliers: Faster pilot growth and more currency
  • Assist Link boosters: More impact from support skills
  • Mid-game savings

  • Weapon Upgrade Efficiency and Mech Upgrade Efficiency: -15% to -25% costs
  • Skill Program Discount: -15% shop prices
  • These picks pay for themselves and let you fully kit A- and S-tier mechs without going broke.

Spirit Commands and Positioning: Winning Fights the Smart Way

    Hints

Spirit Commands are your tempo control. Use them to survive enemy waves and explode damage when it matters.

    Stay alive

  • Flash: Guarantees dodges for the next combat round.
  • Persist: Reduces damage to 1/8 for one round.
  • Wall: Reduces damage to 1/4 for a full turn—perfect for spearheading pushes.
  • Push advantage

  • Bullseye: 100% hit for a turn—erase RNG against evasive foes.
  • Valor/Gain-style effects: Stack credit and EXP doublers on cleanup targets to accelerate growth while clearing maps.
  • Positioning matters

  • Advance with Wall/Persist up, bait enemy phases, then pivot to offense with crit/damage Spirits and finishers.

SP Budgeting Like a Pro: Spirit Command Synergies

    Hints

SP is your most valuable resource on long maps—treat it like a limited fuel tank.

    Start stronger

  • Invest in Starting SP upgrades via STG Memory to begin maps at 70%, then 80% of max SP. Add SP regen nodes to sustain casts.
  • Smart combos

  • Intuition: Fires both Bullseye + Flash in one go—max accuracy and full evasion with a single cast.
  • Chain economy Spirits (credit/EXP boosters) with boss kills, then swap to survival Spirits for the enemy phase.
  • Rhythm tip

  • Front-load decisive casts to seize tempo, then coast on regen and Assist support until your next power turn.
