Core Keeper Hinweise

Third‑party trainers can flip Core Keeper into a sandbox if you’re just experimenting or speed‑testing builds. Use them offline, back up your saves, and expect game updates to break things now and then.

What you can toggle:

• God Mode vs. Infinite Health: Full invuln (no damage registered) or simply keep HP topped off while still seeing hit effects.
• Infinite Mana/abilities: No resource drain for spellcasting or ability use.
• Infinite Food: Forget hunger management during long digs.
• No Weapon Durability loss: Swing forever, never repair.
• Inventory edits: Bump item quantities and preserve durability to skip grinding.

These tools are great for creative building or testing, but they’ll trivialize progression. Your call—just keep it to single‑player or private worlds.

The core keeper does not have any built-in cheats. You can, however, download a trainer for this game, which adds your standard cheat functions to the game. By using the trainer from WeMods you can utilize the following cheats:

Summon merchants with the right items in proper housing, and your base becomes a mini‑market.

• Bearded Merchant: Defeat Glurch and place Slime Oil in a valid room.
• Caveling Merchant: Defeat Ghorm and place the Mysterious Idol.
• Fishing Merchant: Defeat Azeos and place the Pile of Chum.
• Seasonal Merchant: Place a Seasonal Calendar—no boss required.

Room rules:

• Max 8x8 interior, with a bed and a door, plus one free tile.
• Drop the summoning item inside to invite the NPC.

Most merchants trade for Ancient Coins, so hoard those from chests and exploration.

Make the most of each vendor by knowing their habits.

• Restocks: Inventories refresh roughly every 30–45 minutes.
• Currency: Everyone takes Ancient Coins except the Seasonal Merchant, who uses event logic.
• They’re tough, not immortal: NPCs have massive HP but can die. If they do, they drop items—including sometimes stuff you couldn’t normally buy.

Who sells what

• Bearded Merchant: Early‑game mats (Scrap Parts, Fiber, ores, Curious Eggs).
• Caveling Merchant: Mid‑game mats, boss summoning idols, Flintlock Musket.
• Fishing Merchant: Rod upgrades, bait, aquatic accessories.
• Seasonal Merchant: Event‑only decor and stations—rotates with active events.

There are 51 achievements covering bosses, skills, discovery, and social bits. A few milestones to plan around:

• Boss clears: Glurch, Ghorm, Hive Mother, Azeos, Malugaz, Ivy, Omoroth, Ra‑Akar, and more.
• Skill caps (100): Mining, Cooking, Fishing, Gardening, Melee, Ranged, Vitality, Running, Crafting.
• Exploration wins: Complete the Oracle Card deck, catch the Starlight Nautilus.
• Social/pets: Chat with Big Larva NPCs, hatch pets, and interact with all the creature comforts around your base.

Use these as long‑term goals to naturally touch every system.

Some cheevos want creativity (or a sense of humor).

• Rock and Stone!: Wear both the Ring of Rock and Ring of Stone at once.
• Impersonator Syndrome: Dress your character to match official art poses/outfits.
• A Throne Fit for a King: Sit on a Caveling Toilet while wearing a crown.
• 5 Centimeters Per Second: Plant 10 Cherry Trees.
• A Strange Song: Play the Tune of Tempest.
• Pet trio: Hatch your first pet, collect all color variations of a species, and level a pet to max.
• Combat specialties: Defeat niche targets like the Atlantean Worm and dabble in magic, summons, or explosives for their themed achievements.

Core Keeper runs a yearly spring event that scatters collectible eggs everywhere. Grab all four types to craft the Golden Egg (a permanent shiny flex for your base).

Where to find them:

• Brown Eggs: Drop often from basic slimes in dirt biomes; also pop from breaking wooden crates.
• Green Eggs: Mob drops, with an occasional find while digging.
• Grey Eggs: Most common via mob farming, especially in mold dungeons.
• Rose Eggs: Rarer—keep moving through biomes and keep the farm going.

Tips:

• Mob farming beats digging for consistent drop rates.
• Stockpile during the event window—outside of the season, you can’t get them.

There’s a hidden treasure room tucked behind the Godsent Chests in the Titan Temple. The entrance looks like a normal wall—because it is—until you mine through it.

How to get in:

• Sweep along the side walls beside the main treasure area and test sections with your pick.
• Break through the correct spot to reveal a hidden chamber.

What’s inside:

• Starlight Shards, Galaxy Bars, Astro Jelly, and Ancient Coins—nice stash, and a big early boost.
• Loot appears to be finite, so treat it like a one‑time haul.

It’s a great reminder to challenge every “solid” wall in this game.

A few notable issues to plan around:

• Life steal doesn’t work on bosses—bring extra heals if your build relies on it.
• Invisible Core Centurions in the Sunken Sea—move carefully and watch for damage cues.
• Electropet lost its radiation ability in a recent patch.
• Xbox/Game Pass updates can lag behind, causing version mismatches. If co‑oping, make sure everyone’s on the same patch.

Co‑op can be finicky right now.

• Join/host failures across platforms and dedicated servers.
• Console instability with random disconnects—save often and keep sessions short.
• Controller lag with third‑party Xbox pads on non‑Xbox platforms; try platform‑native controllers.
• Cross‑version issues: If one player’s on an older build, connections may fail. Sync versions before joining.

A handful of systems aren’t behaving as intended:

• Radiation Crystal damage isn’t applying correctly—swap to another damage type for now.
• Iron chests fished up in Forgotten Ruins can appear unlocked.
• Hydra attacks can clip through walls—don’t rely on cover against them.
• Switch crashes when entering the Desert of Beginnings—back up saves and enter cautiously.
• General damage inconsistencies on some weapons—test new gear before boss attempts.

Character creation isn’t difficult, but you might be unsure about your character’s background and the benefits that come with it. Don’t be too concerned. It doesn’t appear to make much of a difference after the first hour or so, and if you devote enough time to the core keeper, it all seems to balance out.

There are some lovely advantages, such as the Explorer’s light or the Miner’s starting pickaxe, but no single class will give you a significant edge over the others.

Because it is still in early access, there isn't much of a tutorial, if any at all, so seek subtle visual signals to learn how to interact with objects. Different icons will get highlighted and advise you how to open various additional menus, so if you're having trouble doing something, take a second to see if the game is frantically trying to tell you to hit E instead of angrily clicking away.

You'll gain XP benefits for almost all of the things you're already doing, like mining, running, and crafting. However, if you receive a notice informing you that you have a new skill point, head to your skills menu and allocate it straight away. There are a ton of perks and quality of life enhancements hidden in there, such as improving your mining speed or decreasing food energy needed by running, so you'll want to get a head start on obtaining them to make your journey go a little smoother.

The dynamic lighting in Core Keeper is beautiful to look at while running around with a torch, but it may get rather gloomy down there if your hands are otherwise busy. Keep a small supply of torches available to illuminate locations where you will be spending time.

It's also a good idea to take the time to completely clear out places so that the light can reach all of the dark corners without being cut off by random bits of wall. You can also consider allowing the naturally occurring surroundings to assist you along the path. Some resources, such as glow tulips or small clouds of fireflies, might be just as beneficial when left alone to illuminate your route.

Make yourself a bed as soon as you get enough fiber (which you'll only find in wooden containers for the time being). Taking a quick snooze will replenish your health bar, allowing you to conserve food before returning to combat slimes. Not only that, but if you really want to branch out, it would be a good idea to build smaller bases outside of your main base, each with its own bed. That way, you can swiftly recharge when you're far away from home, and you'll have another respawn point if you get into danger.

With a rather simple multiplayer mechanism, Core Keeper may handle up to eight players in a single cave system at the same time. For the time being, co-op is only available online, although sharing your game ID is simple enough that visitors can drop by. This game ID appears to be required for the time being. You can't now enter a stranger's game or simply open your own to other players.

Parrying is absurdly strong once you get the rhythm down.

• Timing: Raise your shield right before a hit connects to fully negate damage.
• Reward: A successful parry stuns the attacker, opening a clean damage window.
• Gear matters: Higher‑tier shields typically offer more forgiving parry windows or added effects on stun.
• Synergies: Some shields add damage or debuffs on parry—lean into those for boss fights.
• Flow: Swap between parrying and burst attacks to keep single targets locked down.

Practice on predictable enemies, then bring it to bosses and watch fights get easier.

You don’t need to live in your inventory screen.

• Quick delete: Use the hotkey to instantly trash junk mid‑run—no dragging to a void.
• Craft from storage: Place a single chest next to a workbench and craft straight from it. One chest per station keeps the UI clean.
• Harvest smart: Use a hoe to mass‑harvest crops instead of clicking each plant.
• Hotbar discipline: Keep heals, torches, and your main toolset in consistent slots so your muscle memory does the work.

Want combat skills without the grind? Set up an AFK loop in the Hive Mother’s arena.

• Prep: You’ll need enough mining damage to break Larva Hive Walls.
• Clear the boss, leave the larva spawns intact.
• Build survivability: Defensive trinkets, regen food, and steady DPS weapons.
• Balance: Kill quickly enough to gain XP, but not so fast you run dry on spawns.

Works for Melee, Ranged, and Vitality skill growth while you do… anything else.

Smooth logistics matter once your projects scale up.

• Chest zoning: Group materials by type and keep high‑use items closest to stations.
• Craft from chests: Park a single chest next to each station to pull mats right from storage.
• Parallel smelting: Run multiple furnaces so you can explore while bars cook.
• Tool choice: Use hoes for mass farm harvests; match tools to nodes to speed mining.
• Storage scaling: Expand into dedicated rooms and networks as your hoard grows.

The first resource you'll come upon will be wood, and that will be all you need to get started after your character emerges from their mystery pod.

Make some torches, a pickaxe, and the workbench right immediately using the basic crafting available in your pack menu. Everything else can wait a little longer because you'll need a few more critical things and improvements before you can move much further.

Begin digging through the walls around you, looking for anything sparkly. This will provide you with soil and ore, allowing you to create your furnace at the workbench. This allows you to melt the copper ore to enhance your pickaxe and construct a sword to deal with any slimes you come across.

However, don't be in a hurry to access all of the crafting resources right away because you can get a lot done by starting simple.

You'll come across lots of naturally occurring food, but it's not nearly as effective as the health benefits and added bonuses that come with learning to cook. After you've created the cooking pot at the workbench, you can combine ingredients to create dishes that boost your speed, and max health, and even make you shine while replenishing your health bar.

And if you want to constantly have fresh ingredients, create a hoe to clear off some farmland and plant the seeds you'll surely pick up on your travels. Next, make a watering can and fill it with water from the nearest underground lake, and you'll have crops ready in no time – everything grew faster than we imagined.

Slow-moving slimes may not seem like much of a challenge, but if you come across a large group, things can rapidly get out of hand. They not only do a startling amount of damage, but if you die, you'll have to return to that region to regain almost everything you had in your pack (only equipment and whatever was in your quick bar will respawn with you). That could involve gathering more resources simply to fight your way back in and reclaim your land.

Take things carefully at the start, and don't rush into battle. You'll be able to manufacture armor eventually, but don't put it ahead of keeping the rest of your tools in good working order.

Three bosses kick off progression and power up the Core. Prep well and each is manageable.

Glurch the Abominous Mass

• Prep: Bronze‑tier armor, plenty of food, and healing potions.
• Tactics: Bait jumps, sidestep the impact, and counter. Keep the arena clean so slime puddles don’t box you in.

Ghorm the Devourer

• Prep: Farm tin and craft ~50 spike traps, bring a shovel and some bombs.
• Tactics: Find Ghorm’s loop and set a trap lane. Lure it through for massive damage, then clean up with ranged or bombs.

Hive Mother

• Prep: Strong pick to carve space through flesh walls, solid armor, and heals.
• Tactics: Clear a fighting area, control adds, and watch for acid shots. Use terrain to create safe lanes and retreat paths.

These step up the mechanics and punish sloppy movement.

Azeos the Sky Titan

• Requirements: Unlock after powering the Core.
• Arena: Wide‑open space—no cover, lots of dodging.
• Loadout: Strong ranged weapons, movement speed accessories, and plenty of heals.
• Tactics: Keep moving, punish openings, and never get greedy. Mobility wins this fight.

Malugaz the Corrupted

• How to spawn: Farm Crystal Skull Shards from Cavelings in Forgotten Ruins; combine 10 to craft the skull. Summon in the semicircle room with skull runes.
• Arena setup: Clear pillars and junk to avoid getting trapped.
• Phases: Phase 1 leans on fire AoEs and projectiles (positioning is key). Phase 2 goes more close‑quarters—adapt, keep dodging, and stay topped off.
