Xbox One Youtube

On Saturday, it was just one of many rumors, but now we have official confirmation: you will be able to upload videos to Youtube straight from your Xbox One. Best of all, this feature is coming tomorrow.

The Youtube app will now work together with Game DVR and Upload Studio, so you can record your footage, edit it, and put it on Youtube. Once you get the update, just go into your settings and activate “Share game clips” and “Share on social network” to enable this feature.

Additionally, the update “allows you to watch YouTube videos in Snap Mode, earn Media Achievements, and adds YouTube channels to OneGuide.”

Twitch streaming from the Xbox One was a huge success, and we expect this will be, too. After all, it’s something fans have wanted for a while now, and it should result in many more Xbox One gameplay videos online.

Xbox One Might Get Spotify, Youtube Uploads, and More

April 5, 2014 by Samantha Lienhard - Leave a comment

We’ve got a few new Xbox One rumors for you today. First, a user on Reddit who claimed to be an employee of Microsoft said that Spotify will be coming to the Xbox One soon. Spotify would be a cross-platform app working the same on the Xbox One, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8.1.

He also said you’ll be able to play music and run tasks in the background on the Xbox One in the near future.

Now, you can check out the Reddit thread if you want, but you won’t see much. The supposed source and all of his posts have since been deleted. This makes us less inclined to believe what he had to say, although feel free to chime in if you disagree.

Meanwhile, an image has surfaced on the Internet that suggests new features will be coming soon to the Xbox One’s Youtube app.

If this picture is legitimate, it shows new achievements coming for the Youtube app, including one for uploading a video straight from your Xbox One. It would be great if users could put their game footage directly on Youtube like that, and since it’s in line with other features that have come to the Xbox One, it seems plausible. However, this is still just a rumor. We’ll let you know if we hear more.

Youtube Personality Claims to Have Details on Next Call of Duty

March 3, 2014 by Staff - Leave a comment

We’ve heard quite a few rumors about the next Call of Duty game, which is being worked on by Sledgehammer and planned for a 2014 release. Today, Youtube personality Drift0r released a video in which he reveals what he says are details leaked to him by a supposed insider.

He was given several media files, which he says look legitimate, although you never can be too sure with leaks like this. As such, he believes this will be a new Modern Warfare game, although it might not be called Modern Warfare 4. It has a futuristic setting, and Drift0r saw a map that features a huge urban area with a massive, multi-storied structure that could be a power plant.

Drift0r has proved reliable in the past, as he revealed accurate details about Call of Duty: Ghosts. Nevertheless, this is not official information, and his source could be mistaken, so keep all of that in mind as you listen to his descriptions and impressions of what he saw. He has declined to share the actual media files for a variety of reasons, mainly to protect the source of the information.

Whether this is true or false, it’s still pretty interesting to hear about. Take a look, and tell us what you think. Do you believe Drift0r’s information is accurate? Would you want to play this game?

Four 1080p videos for four PS4 games

September 5, 2013 by Staff - Leave a comment

There’s lots of news and information floating around about next-generation games, but how much HQ 1080p footage have you actually seen? In our humble opinion that’s really the only way to really see how a game plays and make an assessment of whether you’re likely to enjoy it.

That said, we’ve stumbled across some very nice HQ videos for each of the following PS4 games: Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, DriveClub and Watch Dogs. Which is your favorite?
