Titanfall and Forza Xbox One Bundle Dropped to $460 in US

Xbox One Titanfall Forza

If you’re a US gamer who caught our story yesterday about the deals on the Xbox One bundle in the UK, and you wished you could find such a deal, you’re in luck.

Fry’s is selling the Xbox One bundled with Titanfall and Forza 5 for just $459.99, a full $100 off its regular price. If you’re interested in those games and haven’t picked up an Xbox One yet, it probably won’t get any better than this (although we can’t make any promises).

At this point, we’re surprised Microsoft hasn’t announced an official price cut. As it is, we’ll keep our eyes open for more discounts at other retailers.

New Xbox One Bundle, With Forza 5 for Free

March 9, 2014 by Cheats.co Staff - Leave a comment

It seems Microsoft has decided the effective price cut of offering a digital copy of Titanfall for free in an Xbox One bundle is the way to go, because they’ve now branched out with a new bundle. This time, you can buy an Xbox One with a free digital copy of Forza Motorsport 5.

In fact, it isn’t even a specific bundle. An Xbox One you buy from “select retailers” will include Forza 5. Before you ask, however, no—you won’t get a free copy of Forza 5 with the Titanfall bundle.

This deal begins next week. We’ll let you know if we hear more information on which retailers are participating. In the meantime, let us know if this makes you more inclined to buy an Xbox One.

Forza 5 Vehicle for Halo: Spartan Assault Owners on Xbox One

February 22, 2014 by Cheats.co Staff - Leave a comment

If you have an Xbox One and play both Halo: Spartan Assault and Forza Motorsport 5, there is a special gift waiting just for you.

In December, 343 Industries and Turn 10 partnered to make a special Forza 5 vehicle, a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 with a unique Halo: Spartan Assault theme. It was given to Forza 5 VIP members.

Today, 343 Industries announced that some of its fans will be able to get the vehicle, as well. If you had Halo: Spartan Assault on your account before February 14, you can have the Halo Mustang for Forza 5. Just go to Forza 5’s “Message Center,” go to “Gifts,” and accept the download. It will go to your Forza 5 garage with the rest of your cars.

This is a cool little gift for fans of the two series. If you’re one of the lucky players who has both games, enjoy your new car!

Forza Motorsport 5 Purchased by 1/3 of Xbox One Owners

February 20, 2014 by Cheats.co Staff - Leave a comment

Turn 10 Studios announced that 1 million players bought Forza Motorsport 5 for the Xbox One. That’s a good sales figure to start with, but it becomes even more impressive when you realize it occurred when Microsoft had sold about 3 million Xbox One consoles. One third of Xbox One owners purchased a copy of Forza Motorsport 5.

According to Turn 10, that’s a new record for a racing game.

If you have Forza Motorsport 5, you might be interested in the recent Smoking Tire DLC, which adds ten additional vehicles to the game.

It sounds like the game has proved quite popular, despite the mixed reviews it’s received from users. Let us know what you think about it, and what you hope to see in the series’ future.

Xbox One cloud improves Forza 5 AI 600%

August 1, 2013 by Cheats.co Staff - 1 Comment

The power of the cloud is already being utilized to great effect according to the developers of Forza Motorsport 5, Turn10. In fact, it’s apparently enabled them to boost the AI capabilities in Forza 5 by 600%!

Forza 5 creative director Dan Greenawalt recently told OXM that those 300,000 servers in the cloud Microsoft has been so eager to tell us about are pretty useful and has enabled them to make some pretty cool developments for Forza 5’s “Drivatar” feature (the name of the AI system).

Apparently Drivatar would normally consume 10-20% of the Xbox One’s computing power and by offloading those AI duties to the cloud, not only does it free up system resources for other things (like displaying pretty graphics) but it improves the AI markedly – by 600% of what the Xbox One could do on its own!

We can now make our AI instead of just being 20%, 10% of the box’s capability, we can make it 600% of the box’s capability… Put it in the cloud and free up that 10% or 20% to make the graphics better – on a box that’s already more powerful than we worked on before.

As a personal fan of the Forza series I can’t wait to see this in action.
