It’s official—Titanfall has gone gold. Respawn made the announcement last night on Twitter, complete with a picture of a Titanfall game box.

We also can refute one of the resolution claims we heard the other day. When asked, Respawn’s Vince Zampella said Titanfall will not run at 1080p on the Xbox One. Despite many follow-up questions, he did not say what its resolution will be, but with less than two weeks until Titanfall’s release, we’ll know one way or another soon enough.

Jean-Baptiste Bolcato says Rebellion Games’ upcoming shooter Sniper Elite 3 will support 1080p, and according to him, Microsoft’s new SDK will bring the Xbox One’s capabilities up to par with the PS4’s. In general, he was very positive toward the Xbox One.
If Bolcato is correct, this is good news for Microsoft, especially since games that have already been released can be patched to support 1080p once this is in place.Tags: 1080p, 60fps, patch, sdk, sniper elite 3, update, xbox one

The third “next generation” console covered here at Cheats.co is the Nintendo Wii U. We don’t often write about it though because, well, it’s just not that popular and has been pretty much written off by nearly all hardcore gamers and a good portion of everyone else.
Notwithstanding it, the Wii U does bring with it some beloved franchises like Mario Bros and of course Zelda. It does have some decent games, it’s just that the console doesn’t really have widespread appeal. It’s next-gen, but not next-gen enough to warrant buying one over a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 (for most people anyway).
One thing that the Wii U has over the aforementioned consoles, and even their next-generation counterparts, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, is the number of native 1080p high resolution game titles available. As CinemaBlend points out, the Wii U has six native 1080p games versus four such games on the PS4 and only two on the Xbox One (note: CB actually list Killer Instinct on the Xbox 360 at 1080p but it’s 720p).
Obviously the situation will change over time as more games are released for the PS4 and Xbox One (heck the consoles are even out yet), but given there is a substantial amount of release titles also arriving with those consoles, it’s kinda surprising that more aren’t running full 1080p.
So which is the real next-generation console?Tags: 1080p, games, hd, ps4, wii u, xbox one
