Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, the Creative Director and Game Director respectively of The Last of Us, recently held an “Ask Us Anything” session on Reddit. You can check out the full conversation if you want to see all of their answers, including a lot of details about what went into The Last of Us, but here are some of the interesting statements they made about their plans for the future.

They might make a sequel to The Last of Us, and they might not. Druckmann says the chances are “50/50” right now. In case you’re concerned that The Last of Us 2 would delay Uncharted 4, or vice versa, he also confirmed that they are two separate game teams.

He also said that “Sony has complete trust in [Naughty Dog]” and leaves the decisions about what they’re going to work on up to them.

Straley chimed in with thoughts on the PS4, saying that while they haven’t worked with it very much, he’s “excited about having more memory.”

So, if you’ve been hoping for a sequel to The Last of Us, your chances are about 50%. That’s not a guarantee by any means, but let’s face it—this is Naughty Dog we’re talking about. Whether they make a sequel or create a totally new IP, we’re confident in their abilities to give us a game we’ll love.
