Halo Novel Selling Like Hotcakes

In case you didn’t know, Halo has a graphic novel based on the best selling Xbox video game and it is selling like hotcakes! Normally comics based on video game don’t do so well, but the Halo series is pretty special and that must be helping it along… The book has debuted in second spot on both the Diamond and Bookscan charts and there are rumors floating around that there is 80,000 to 100,000 copies of the title in print. Here’s some early reviews from a couple of media outlets, note the generally glowing nature…

Andrew Smith of Scripps News Service says, “It’s an excellent graphic novel for comics fans – it’s also undoubtedly a must-buy for anyone who loves the game because it fills in so many blanks€.”

Hilary Goldstein of IGN.com says, “€œConsidering the large audience who has played these games, this is a book that belongs in a few million homes. Master Chief’s first journey into comics is a brilliant success.”
