Fans of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and the rest of the series are probably eager to learn more about Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A lot of good gameplay information came out of E3, and new details keep on coming.

First of all, if you felt Black Flag didn’t have enough land–you did spent a lot of time on the water, after all–you’ll be pleased to know that Unity’s Paris was confirmed to be bigger than all the land in Black Flag. (You’ll get to visit a few areas outside of Paris, as well.)

You’ll have a large city to explore, and as for the way you explore it, Ubisoft had some comments to make about that, as well. The series’ parkour system has been redone for Unity to give movement a smoother feel. According to Game Designer Max Spielberg, “you no longer have to drop down from climbing a wall to an object to continue running. You can, from your climb, perform a transition into a direct run, or swing, or any move possible in the game.”

The new parkour movement will involve two vertical controls and one horizontal control, and you’ll learn special parkour moves as you play through the game.

Now, when we talk about playing the game, you might be thinking about playing with your friends, since co-op was revealed at E3. However, it turns out that your friends won’t be able to join you during most story missions. You can explore the open world and complete certain missions together, but when it comes to the main story, you’ll be on your own.

Even with co-op, therefore, Assassin’s Creed Unity is still focused on story, and on its new main character, Arno Dorian. If you’d like to learn more about Arno, Ubisoft released a new trailer all about him.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to taking control of Arno and exploring Paris?
