Duplication Cheats

To duplicate in Vigor it’s pretty simple but a little expensive.  You need the gun you want to duplicate and 60 crowns (in game currency) and you have to pay for insurance.

Theng geta teammate to kill you. He will pick up the gun and leave the game via the exit area and because you paid for insurance he will have the gun because he killed you and you will have the gun because you paid for insurance!

Kurt Schwitters reference/tribute Easter Eggs

The homebase map includes several things written on it. One of these is a letter-number combination that, when looked up online, brings up the will of a German artist named Kurt Schwitters, with handwriting that matches that on the map. Schwitters eventually lived in Norway and made art based on scrap.

It is possible that the house in the map is meant to be his house, as well.

Beginning Tips Hints

If you’re just starting out or trying a weapon for a new time, be sure to test your weapon at the shooting range first. Practicing your shooting skills is a good way to make sure you’re prepared for the actual match.

When you’re choosing items to take into your match, keep in mind that there’s a chance you’ll lose them. Be prepared to lose whatever you’re taking with you, and choose your items accordingly.

Make sure to loot cars. For some reason, it seems as though loot is more commonly found in cars, and they are also easier to loot quickly as you’re traveling.

Upgrade your shelter to let it produce resources for you. These resources will become available in real time, so make sure to check every 8 hours or so at these points in your shelter to get more resources.

You can break down unneeded weapons to get weapon parts and create blueprints, which will let you craft the weapon in question whenever you want. You can also break down other items and resources to get the materials you need to craft things. However, you will need different resources as you progress through the game, so be careful before you decide to start deconstructing things. There is also a limit to the amount of materials your base can hold. If you break down items and don’t have enough space for the materials, you will just lose the excess materials.

Always be prepared to fight. If someone comes up on you by surprise, you’ll want to be ready to fight back.

Always close doors behind you when you enter a building. This has two benefits. First, it will make it less likely that other players will know you’re inside. Second, if another player follows you in and forgets to close the door themselves, that will be a sign to you that you’re no longer alone.

The map shows you the direction of the wind, which is how the radiation will spread across the map. Check on this to know if you’ll need to exit right away or if you’ll be able to spend some more time safely.

Keep in mind that if you attack a player, they’ll be alerted to your presence. Be careful about when you attack and make sure you can make the shot before you try. Also consider staying hidden while other players fight each other, so you can come in near the end to take out the surviving player.

In your shelter’s outhouse, there are three seashells sitting on a shelf. This is a nod to the movie Demolition Man, set in a future where toilet paper has been replaced by three seashells, although how this is supposed to work is never explained in the movie.

All Shelter Upgrades Unlockables

As you buy upgrades for your shelter by spending resources, you will be able to increase its level, which in turn makes more upgrades available. The upgrades themselves provide benefits, while leveling up the shelter improves its look and overall nature.

Shelter Levels

  • 1 – Starting condition
  • 2 – Unlocked after 2 upgrades; roof will be covered with a tarp
  • 3 – Unlocked after 4 upgrades; exterior walls will be covered with a tarp
  • 4 – Unlocked after 7 upgrades; interior walls will be covered with a tarp
  • 5 – Unlocked after 13 upgrades; windows will be covered
  • 6 – Unlocked after 19 upgrades; metal sheeting will be added to the roof
  • 7 – Unlocked after 26 upgrades; exterior walls will be repaired
  • 8 – Unlocked after 35 upgrades; interior walls will be repaired
  • 9 – Unlocked after 45 upgrades; windows and doors will be repaired
  • 10 – Unlocked after 56 upgrades; roof will now be tile

Upgrades for your shelter are divided across the following facilities: crafting table, wood log, water distillation, antenna, rat trap, box of herbs, box of plants, chemical distribution, electric generator, outhouse, utility room, smokehouse, scrap bin, and wind turbine. Most of these have 13 levels, which will unlock new benefits for your shelter.

Duo Looting Rule Hints

As of the most recent updates, if you enter as a duo, you will not be able to loot your duo partner if you kill them. This change was implemented in an attempt to cut down on players killing their own duo partners.

Is teaming allowed? Hints

Teaming up in a solo game is not encouraged, because the developers feel it takes away from the intended game experience. However, it is currently not considered cheating, either, and so it isn’t a reportable offense.
