If you want to play on Easy Mode, die during a battle and retry until the game asks you if you want to switch to Easy Mode. It should take about 5-10 deaths. However, once you switch to Easy Mode, you won't be able to switch back. In Easy Mode, there are fewer enemies, their attacks do less damage, and they only attack one at a time.
