To play as Nabbit in single player mode, hold down ZL when you select the stage. If Nabbit dies in the stage, Luigi will return. Luigi will also return when you complete the stage.

If you hold down ZL when you select the final Star Road stage, you will play as your Mii instead of Nabbit.

In order to get all of the game's File Stars, follow the steps listed below:

1. Defeat the final Bowser.
2. Locate all 94 of the normal and secret flags.
3. On each of the first seven worlds, catch Nabbit when he appears.
4. Get every star coin found in the standard 8 worlds, as well as every star coin in each world and level, including the 9^th level of Superstar Road.
