In the initial release of the game, player Petr Cech would wear his helmet at all times, even during contract negotiations. Videos were released of Cech wearing his helmet along with his suit, and this was believed to be a humorous nod to how Cech has worn a helmet in every game after suffering a head injury.
Cech himself responded by jokingly saying the game had misrepresented him because he would never go to a contract negotiation meeting without wearing a tie.
It turned out to have been a glitch instead of an intentional reference, and the developers patched it—but when they removed the helmet, they added a tie to his character model in that scene, joking in the patch updates that they had found a tie for him.
As in past games, there’s a wide variety of celebrations you can trigger by pressing a specific combination of buttons. There is also a simpler option that has been added in this game: you can press A (Xbox One) or X (PS4) to perform the player’s signature celebration or B (Xbox One) or Circle (PS4) to perform a random celebration.
Follow the video guide below to see all of the celebrations and the button combinations to trigger them manually.
Set your team’s Dynamic Tactics to determine how they’ll play and what sorts of decisions they’ll make. The default is Balanced, but you can change it to focus more on attacking or defending. You can also go into the menu to customize the tactics even further, once you have a grasp on the playing style you’d like to use.
Likewise, makes sure you know your players’ strengths and weaknesses to know how to best set them up and where to position them.
While defending, stay between the goal and the player with the ball whenever possible to make it more difficult for them to make their shot. Have patience and don’t attack the player with the ball right away.
It is possible to fake a pass. This may trick your opponent and give you more time to move.
Have patience while on the offense, as well. Make sure you’re in position to make a shot, rather than hastily going for the quickest shot and missing it.
The Low Shot is one of the easiest goals to make.
Don’t sprint constantly. If you’re sprinting, you’re more likely to lose the ball. Save your speed for when it will really help you.
While you can tap a button to switch to the player nearest to the ball, you can also flick the right stick in the direction of a player to switch to them, which gives you a greater degree of control. The player closest to the ball isn’t always the player that will give you the biggest advantage.
Early on, you won’t have enough money to sign the top-tier players. Consider signing “wonderkids” instead. Wonderkids are young players that will eventually develop to have impressive stats, even though they aren’t big names. Take both their age and potential in mind as you sign new players.
You can earn FIFA Coins in a few different ways, including Squad Battles and completing Squad Building Challenges, completing Daily and Weekly Challenges, and logging into the FIFA 19 Web App each day, but trading is the best way to earn coins. If you pay close attention to your transfers, you can earn a huge amount of coins in a short amount of time by picking up cheap players and selling them at higher prices.
(There are also special events and promotions that can help you earn FIFA Coins or FIFA Points, so keep an eye out for any official announcements about such events.)
Use the video below for more guidelines on how to quickly earn coins through trading, as well as techniques you can use.
