Dying in the game will cause you to lose your entire inventory, everything except your crystal skulls. What these skulls offer is a form of currency to purchase blessings that stick with you throughout the game, help you boost through runs, and make your life that little bit easier. SO take some time to farm up crystal skulls and spend them on the blessings that you need, before you die and lose all your hard-earned loot and weapons.
