Beginning Tips

Hints

Do not dive when you have a crew member on the outside of the plane doing repairs.

Use the “Lean” skill whenever possible. This will let you save a great deal of fuel so you can keep flying for much longer. Keep an eye on your fuel levels, as well.

If you’re running out of fuel, make sure everyone has a parachute to increase their chances of survival.

If you get a leak in the fuel tank and you’re in a dangerous situation, use the fuel pump to transfer fuel from the leaking tank to the whole tank, until you’re in a position where you can safely repair it.

Get a fire extinguisher as soon as possible. Anyone can activate it, and it will save your crew members if there should happen to be a fire. Keep in mind that the engine extinguisher only takes care of fires in the engines, so it isn’t a replacement for the fire extinguisher.

Make sure to upgrade your radar.

Get the belt feed for the tail gun as soon as possible.

Keeping your armor upgraded is very important. Make sure to have good armor for the rear of your plane, as well as the wings. Wing armor also protects your landing gear.

Do many easy missions before you move on to more difficult missions, so you can upgrade your plane and crew to be better prepared.

Stay at low altitude for a while. This means you won’t have to worry about the temperature or oxygen.

Once you complete your mission objective, set a course to return.
