If this happens at night, their eyes will glow, often making it so that all you can see are the glowing eyes visible in the darkness. Some players report also being able to hear the wolves howling at night. If you attempt to approach them, the wolves will simply vanish. Due to its strange and unsettling implementation, this is considered to be an easter egg rather than just normal wildlife in the game.
