While hanging onto a hook switch in Hydro City, enter the following code: Left, Left Left, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up

However, an update for the game removed the voice clip for all versions except the Switch version.

Earning medals from the Blue Sphere stages will unlock the following rewards:

Super Peel Out move - 1 medal

Insta-Shield - 6 medals

&Knuckles Mode - 11 medals

Debug Mode - 16 medals

Mean Bean Mode - 21 medals

D.A. Garden (sound test) - 26 medals

Blue Sphere Mode (new stages) – 32 medals

Super Sonic – You must collect the seven Chaos Emeralds from the special stages.

True Ending – If you collect the seven Chaos Emeralds to unlock Super Sonic, you can then defeat the final boss to unlock the true final boss fight, followed by the true ending.

Knuckles Ending – From the secrets menu, you can activate “&Knuckles” mode. This gives you Knuckles as a companion for the game. If you play the game as Knuckles in “&Knuckles” mode, you’ll get a short special ending featuring Knuckles.

The Knuckles ending can also be unlocked if you use the debug menu/level select to fight the true final boss as Knuckles.

Once you get 16 Gold or Silver medals from the Blue Sphere stages, you can access debug mode from the main menu.

First, go to the main menu, highlight the “No Save” option, and bring up the Secrets options. Make sure Debug Mode is enabled. Next, return to the previous menu, making sure “No Save” is still highlighted, and hold down Square and X. This will take you to the level select screen. Pick a level, and once it loads, press Triangle.

Debug mode lets you freely explore the level and place items and power-ups.

To change your character, highlight a new save file and press Up or Down to pick between Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles. Since their stories are different, you cannot switch characters in a current save file.
