How to Optimize Your Ship

In this game, you’ll have to modify your ship for the best chance at survival. There are five different ships:

  • Basic - This ship has one weapon, one shield, and a x1 zoom.
  • Frigate - This ship has two weapons, one shield, one utility, and a x1 zoom.
  • Cruiser - This ship has three weapons, two shields, one utility, and a x1.2 zoom.
  • Heavy Cruiser - This ship has four weapons, two shields, two utilities, and a 1.5 zoom.
  • Destroyer - This ship has six weapons, three shields, two utilities, and a 1.6 zoom.

There are various weapons available for taking on enemy ships, and each weapon can be upgraded to improve its offensive capabilities:

  • Laser Cannon
    • Tier 1 - The laser cannon can do 10 points of damage at a rate of 0.5. The damage dealt increases by 5 each time you level it up. Its range is 600, and it has 25% armor. You don’t need to do anything to unlock this weapon.
    • Tier 2 - The laser cannon can now deal 2500 points of damage at the same rate and the damage increases by 250 each time you level it up. The range is 60 points wider, now sitting at 660.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the laser cannon can now deal 6.25e5 points of damage, which increases by 6.25e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The laser cannon can now deal 1.56e8 points of damage, which increases by 1.56e7 each time you level it up.
  • Gatling Laser - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 3
    • Tier 1 - The Gatling laser can do 3 points of damage at a rate of 2. The damage dealt increases by 2 each time you level the weapon up. It has a range of 575 and 25% armor.
    • Tier 2 - The Gatling laser can now deal 1000 points of damage at the same rate, increasing by 100 each time you level it up. The range is 50 points wider, now sitting at 625.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Gatling laser can now deal 2.5e5 points of damage, which increases by 2.5e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Gatling laser can now deal 6.25e7 points of damage, which increases by 6.25e6 each time you level it up.
  • Charge Laser - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 5
    • Tier 1 - The Charge laser can do 20 points of damage at a rate of 0.25. The damage dealt increases by 10 each time you level the weapon up. It has a range of 700, 25% armor, and a Charge Time of 1.
    • Tier 2 - The Charge laser can now deal 5000 points of damage at the same rate, increasing by 500 each time you level it up. The range is 70 points wider, now sitting at 770.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Charge laser can now deal 1.25e6 points of damage, which increases by 1.25e5 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Charge laser can now deal 3.13e8 points of damage, which increases by 3.13e7 each time you level it up.
  • Beam Laser - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 11
    • Tier 1 - The Beam laser can do 12 points of damage. The damage dealt increases by 1.2 each time you level the weapon up. It has a range of 685, 25% armor, a Charge Time of 0.5, a Ramp Time of 10, and a Tick Rate of 4.
    • Tier 2 - The Beam laser can now deal 2000 points of damage, and the damage increases by 55 each time you level it up. The range is 65 points wider, now sitting at 750.
    • Tier 3 - While the range remains the same, the Beam laser can now deal 5e5 points of damage, which increases by 5e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Beam laser can now deal 1.25e8 points of damage, which increases by 1.25e7 each time you level it up.
  • Kinetic Cannon - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 20
    • Tier 1 - The Kinetic cannon can do 6 points of damage at a rate of 0.75. The damage dealt increases by 2.5 each time you level it up. Its range is 650, and it has 60% Shield. 
    • Tier 2 - The Kinetic cannon can now deal 1400 points of damage at the same rate, and the damage increases by 120 each time you level it up. The range is 50 points wider, now sitting at 700.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Kinetic cannon can now deal 3.5e5 points of damage, which increases by 3.5e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Kinetic cannon can now deal 8.75e7 points of damage, which increases by 8.75e6 each time you level it up.
  • Bomb Launcher - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 29
    • Tier 1 - The Bomb launcher can do 24 points of damage at a rate of 0.15. The damage dealt increases by 12 each time you level it up. Its range is 800, and it has 60% Shield. 
    • Tier 2 - The Bomb launcher can now deal 6000 points of damage at the same rate, and the damage increases by 600 each time you level it up. The range is 110 points wider, so it is now sitting at 910.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Bomb launcher can now deal 1.5e6 points of damage, which increases by 1.5e5 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Bomb launcher can now deal 3.75e8 points of damage, which increases by 3.75e7 each time you level it up.
  • Missile Launcher - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 35
    • Tier 1 - The Missile launcher can do 2 points of damage at a rate of 0.35. The damage dealt increases by 1.1 each time you level it up. Its range is 600. It has 60% Shield and can target a max of 4 enemies simultaneously. 
    • Tier 2 - The Missile launcher can now deal 450 points of damage at the same rate, and the damage increases by 55 each time you level it up. The range is 60 points wider, so it is now sitting at 660.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Missile launcher can now deal 1.38e5 points of damage, which increases by 1.38e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Missile launcher can now deal 3.44e7 points of damage, which increases by 3.44e6 each time you level it up.
  • Disruption Charge - This weapon unlocks once you gain access to Sector 52
    • Tier 1 - The Disruption Charge can do 1 point of damage at a rate of 0.5. The damage dealt increases by 1 each time you level the weapon up. It has a range of 700, a 25% Shield, and a Tick Rate of 1 with 4 Ticks.
    • Tier 2 - The Disruption Charge can now deal 400 points of damage at the same rate, increasing by 40 each time you level it up. The range is 50 points wider, so it is now sitting at 750.
    • Tier 3 - While the range and rate of fire remain the same, the Disruption Charge can now deal 1e5 points of damage, which increases by 1e4 each time you level it up.
    • Tier 4 - The Disruption Charge can now deal 2.5e7 points of damage, which increases by 2.5e6 each time you level it up.

There are plenty of offensive options for taking on various enemies, but you must also ensure your ship is well-defended. You can do this with one of the three types of shields the game has to offer:

  • Continuous Generator - It continues to charge while you are under fire, but it is the weaker of the three shield options
  • Bulk Generator - It stops charging while you are under fire, but it is the stronger of the three shield options. It’s a great option for breaching tough bosses, especially with the Shield Boost Ability. Remember that you can get overwhelmed by swarms using this shield since it takes a few seconds to start charging.
  • Deflector Shield - This shield negates hits.
