Unlimited Gold Cheat Cheats

Follow the steps below to earn an unlimited amount of gold:

1. Once it becomes available around story mission 4 and 5, accept Ector's Client Job 1: Hand Tailored.
2. Use arrows against your enemies.
3. Collect loot, but do not get the necessary unique items to complete the mission.
4. You will have to restart the mission, but you will keep any loot you collected. It should take about 10 minutes per attempt, and you will earn about 250 gold coins.
5. Repeat this process until you have as much gold as you want.

Frog from Chrono Trigger Easter Eggs

In the second chapter, you will have the opportunity to eavesdrop on the Thief-Taker General while you're in the vents. After a while, he will whistle the theme song of Frog from Chrono Trigger.

Miscellaneous Hints & Tips Hints

• The "one-hit stun" Focus power is useful if you cannot avoid combat.
• White marks on a wall often indicate a place where you can climb up. Cracks in the wall mark narrow passages you can fit into.
• If there are birds nearby, they will alert the guards if they notice you. Shoot them with arrows to silence them.
• If you kill or incapacitate a guard carrying a torch or lantern, which would allow you to be seen even in the shadows, the light will go out.
• If guards have spotted you and are coming after you, find a high place or a small crawl space to escape and hide until the guards abandon the chase.
• When you aren't on a mission, explore the City to find more treasure, merchants, and shortcuts to help you navigate between areas.
• Optional missions taken on in the City often will provide you with a lot of gold. Basso will give you many easy side missions. Ector and Vittori are just two characters who will give you difficult and profitable missions.
• If you need to earn more gold, find treasures you overlooked, or finish Thieving Challenges you missed, you can always replay missions just by entering them again.
• When you aim your bow, your arms will tire after a while. If it starts to waver, cancel by pressing LT (Xbox One) / L2 (PS4) and moving, or by pressing B (Xbox One) / Circle (PS4). You can then aim again.
• You can throw glass objects to distract nearby guards.
• If you enter a closet or cabinet to hide, the game will save. Therefore, you can enter closets to quickly give yourself a checkpoint.
• When you are playing a challenge map, do not stun or fight guards. Your score will be greatly lowered if you do.
• When you are playing a "Chain" game, check to see where all the items are in the room before you start stealing, so you can locate them all quickly and earn the maximum chain.
• Use the wirecutters to disarm traps.
• Use the wrench to open ventilation shafts and other passages.
• Whenever you find a document, read it carefully to see if it contains any clues that will help you find new areas or treasures.
• Don't forget that items, paths, etc. can be hidden above or below you. Always scan the entire environment.

Proceed Slowly Hints

Proceed slowly through missions. Take your time to plan out strategy, study the environment of each new area, and learn the patrols taken by guards. Always have a place in mind to hide if you are discovered.

Focus Hints

Focus reveals treasures and traps in the area, along with environmental items you can use. However, Focus depletes your energy, so you can't use it constantly. You can go to the Queen of Beggars to buy Focus Points, which you can use to unlock additional Focus abilities, such as noticing threats on the other side of walls, faster pickpocketing, stronger combat moves, and more. Work on maximizing your Stealth first, although it is also good to pick up a level of Intuition and one of Dexterity.

Help from Items Hints

There are many items that will help you on your missions.

• Rope arrows - These can help you reach new locations, some of which may contain treasure.
• Water arrows - Use these to extinguish torches.
• Blunt arrows - Use these to activate switches and distract guards in the area.
• Broadhead arrows - These are good for ranged headshots to kill your enemies.

Sword-Carrying Guards Hints

Guards that carry swords are dangerous in close combat. Guards that carry crossbows have dangerous ranged attacks. Chainmail armor is harder to pierce than leather armor, and helmets make headshots more difficult, as only a few areas are left vulnerable.

Chapter 3 Rope Warning Glitches

Word of warning - when you need to escape the ruins in Chapter 3 there will be no ropes for you to climb out on.

Therefore before you get to it, you need to have rope arrows in your inventory.

Otherwise you cannot leave this chapter and are forced to go back to town and start all over.

Easy Something to Prove Trophy Hints

To easily get the "Something to Prove" trophy play on Master difficulty, with forced chapter saves (180 difficulty points), specialty arrows only (50 difficulty points), no kills (170 difficulty points), expensive resources (70 difficulty points), no Focus (50 difficulty points), no food (100 difficulty points), stealth takedowns only (50 difficulty points), and no reticule (30 difficulty points). With this setup, you can upgrade items and take damage, but you will have to run whenever the guards see you and you won't be able to save during missions.

Stay in Shadows Hints

Stay in the shadows whenever possible to remain undetected. The circle in the left-hand corner of the screen will be dark if you are deep enough in the shadows to be safe. When you have to pass through an area that is lit, you can use your swoop action to get through without wasting any more time than necessary, but there are often alternate routes you can take. Garrett's Focus ability can help you see useful things you might have otherwise overlooked, such as ladders, walls you can climb, narrow gaps you can fit through, and more. You can also use water arrows to extinguish torches and blunt arrows to turn off lights, to reduce the number of lit areas you must pass through.

Making Noise Hints

Try not to make noise. Move slowly or crouch and sneak to be as quiet as possible, especially if guards are in the area. Check the ground before you proceed, to make sure it isn't covered by broken glass or other substances that will make noise.

Steal Everything Hints

Steal everything you see to sell later on to merchants, so you can get gold to buy advantageous tools and upgrades. There is no cap on your inventory. As soon as you have enough gold, you should buy the wrench, the razor, the painting knife, and the wirecutter.

Earning Money Hints

Follow the tips below to earn money.

• Of course you will get money as you complete the main story missions, but you should also do side missions to earn more money. In between missions, explore the city for additional treasures.
• Always loot dead or unconscious enemies.
• Shiny objects are worth a lot of money. Pick up every one you see.
• When you are on the streets of the city, keep an eye out for coins and wallets lying on the ground.
• Whenever you see a locked chest, safe, or door, pick the lock. The rewards are likely worth your time and effort.
• During missions, steal enemies' supplies to either use or sell.
• If you have any weapons or items you never intend to use, sell them.

Collectibles Location Guide Guides

Search the locations indicated below to find all of the collectibles, which are categorized into different sets. Once you complete all of the sets, you will earn the "What's Yours is Mine" achievement (Xbox One) / trophy (PS4).

Chapter 1: Lockdown

• Set: Serendi Stone Circles
• Collectible: Amethyst Circle
• Location: Eliminate the Traitorsgate Guards to clear your way through Backway. Head to the Southwest area and search near the barrels. The collectible will appear to be a small ring.

• Location: Go to the Study Room of the Serendi Jeweler Shop. Unlock it to find many treasures inside, including the collectible.
• Set: Client Loot
• Collectible: Jeweled Mask
• Location: Search the locked drawers of the Serendi Jeweler Shop to find the mask. It is the fake version of the chapter's Unique Loot, the Lyegrove's Jeweled Mask.

• Location: Go to the Old Foundry. There is a plaque on the outside wall of the chapel. Use your wrench to remove it.

• Location: Go to the Clock Tower Plaza and head to the crates near the Crippled Burrick. Use your wrench to remove the plaque on the side of the crates.

• Location: Enter Lady Marigold's Apartment and press the switches on the painting. The safe will open and you can grab the collectible.

• Location: Use Focus to spot the plaque at Moorsditch and remove it with your wrench. This will have an effect later on.

• Location: Use your wrench to remove the plaque on the pillar at Kaitlin Court. Once that is done, press the switch you have revealed.

• Location: Search the desk drawers of the Secret Shack to find the collectible.

• Location: After you jump down from the rope onto the platform in Corridor A, grab the collectible before you reach the broken glass.

• Location: When you enter the coal storage area, search the north wall to find the collectible.

• Location: Go to the Supervisor's Officer and solve the puzzle. You must turn the first tiles twice in either direction, turn the second once to the right, and turn the third once to the left.

• Location: In Moorditch, follow the ropes across to the narrow ledge, and enter the room beyond. Take the eagle-man painting.

• Location: Go to Leatherwood Furniture for the "A Lady's Request" sidequest given by Basso. Go downstairs and crawl into the narrow space by the barrels. On the other side, there is a switch on one of the barrels. Press it, and enter the room it opens. Take the painting from the secret room.

• Location: Go to Montonessi's Abode for the "A Stroke of Madness" sidequest given by Basso. Take the painting of the tigress.

• Location: Take care of all of the guards at Baron's Way South and then approach the Watch Tower. The collectible is on one of the crates in the area.

• Location: Keep an eye out for the plaque in Crowley and Sons, and use your wrench to remove it.

• Location: In the Poet's Abode, take the painting of the horned man, which you can find in the bathroom.

• Location: Enter the Sewers, but do not head toward Erin's hideout. Go to the south until you reach a lower area of the sewers, and search it for the collectible.

• Location: Go to Eel's End and use your wrench to remove the plaque from near the rope that can take you to Boat Dock.

• Location: Search the Old Postmaster's House until you find the chest that contains the collectible, within a locked room.

• Location: Go to the Fish Hawker's Market and search behind the counter in the bar to find the collectible.
• Set: The Court of Montonessi
• Collectible: Living a Lie
• Location: Enter the apartment in Baron's Way South and take the painting of the bull-man.
• Set: City Heritage Plaques
• Collectible: Customs House Bridge
• Location: Head down the steps on the east side of the Docks. Find the narrow passage you can crawl through, but instead of going through, use your wrench to remove the plaque from beside it.
• Set: City Heritage Plaques
• Collectible: The Siren's Rest
• Location: Crawl through the passage beside the previous collectible. On the other side, use your wrench to remove your plaque from the exterior wall of the Siren's Rest tavern.

Chapter 3: Dirty Secrets

• Set: The Pinned Castinets
• Collectible: Jewelwing
• Location: In the Warrens, you will see a raven fly away. Go to the spot where it had been to pick up the collectible it left behind.
• Set: Serendi Stone Circles
• Collectible: Emerald Circle
• Location: You will need to crawl through a small area to reach the brothel's Upper Level. While crawling, you will pass the collectible.
• Set: Memories of the Dead
• Collectible: Stonemason's Memory
• Location: In the Scriptorium, head to the Free Focus Point Spot and remove a book to trigger the opening of a secret area. Go inside to get the collectible.
• Set: Client Loot
• Collectible: Ritual Book
• Location: Go to the podium in the Central Tower Interior. Use Focus to see the four symbols, and align them on the medallion. Insert the medallion into the podium to make it release the book so you can take it.

Chapter 4: A Friend in Need

• Set: Serendi Stone Circles
• Collectible: Lapis Lazuli Circle
• Location: In the Passage, either jump or use a rope arrow to reach the lower level. Search beneath the benches to find the collectible.

• Collectible: The Abundance of Emptiness
• Location: At the Study Stairs, when you find the guard by the door, incapacitate him and turn to the nearby painting. Take the rabbit painting so you can get the collectible.
• Set: Memories of the Dead

• Location: When you spot the unconscious guard in The Keep (Boiler Level), search near his hand to find the collectible.

• Location: In the same area that you found the previous collectible in, search for the plaque. Use your wrench to remove it.

• Location: In Safe Housing, after you evade the General's soldiers, you will find a guard in the northeast area. Go up the stairs after him and knock him unconscious. The collectible is on a nearby crate.

Chapter 5: The Forsaken

• Location: When you reach the statue on the Grounds, use your wrench to remove the plaque from the wall beside it.
• Set: The Court of Montonessi
• Collectible: The Repulsion of Civility
• Location: When you reach room M02 in The Watchman's Secret, take the painting of the mice to get the collectible.

• Location: In the Women's Ward, drop down from the elevator. You will be in a secret room. Climb on top of the bookshelf to spot the collectible.

Chapter 6: A Man Apart

• Location: In the Courtyard, climb onto the stone archway and search for the collectible in a bird's nest.

Chapter 8: The Dawn's Light

• Location: When you encounter the Freak to the west of the railroad tracks in the Mine Tunnels, follow him to find a wooden chest. Unlock it to get the collectible.

• Location: Follow the Graven's trail through the Storage Deck, until you reach the painting by the candle-stand. Take it to get the final collectible.

Unique Loot Treasure Location Guide Guides

Unique Loot treasures are hidden in each level, guarded by puzzles. Use the guide below to help you find and obtain each piece of Unique Loot. You should make use of Focus, when necessary, to pinpoint their locations.

Prologue

• Unique Loot: The Glittering Plumage
• Location: When you encounter the room filled with caged birds, you are in the right area. The birds will alert the guards if you move too quickly.
• Puzzle: Sneak past the birds until you reach the painting on the wall. Find the hidden switch on the painting and press it to reveal a safe. Unlock the safe. The item is inside.

Chapter 1: Lockdown

• Unique Loot: Lyegrove's Jeweled Mask
• Location: Enter the Serendi Jeweler Shop.
• Puzzle: Make sure you are aware of the jeweler's movements. Either knock him unconscious or put out all of the candles. Open every drawer and look through every crate to get the item.

Chapter 2: Dust to Dust

• Unique Loot: Soul of the Automaton
• Location: Enter the Workshop and find the safe.
• Puzzle: You must learn the combination and open the safe to get the item. The combination is 314.

Chapter 3: Dirty Ruins

• Unique Loot: Ancient Figurine
• Location: When you see the pedestal in a shrine at the Ancient Ruins, stop there.
• Puzzle: Use Focus to see the symbols, and then align those symbols on the pedestal. Take the pedestal and insert it at the opposite side of the room to uncover the item.

Chapter 4: A Friend in Need

• Unique Loot: Morendrum Medal
• Location: Go to Eastwick's Office, but be careful, because there is a bird there that will notice any quick or sudden movements.
• Puzzle: Use Focus to see a switch beneath a table. Press the switch, and it will reveal a safe in the wall. Pick the lock on the safe and grab the item.

Chapter 5: The Forsaken

• Unique Loot: Mechanical Eye
• Location: On the lower level of the High Road, you will reach a middle set of stairs. Head downstairs. There should be crates nearby. Climb onto them and go west from there.
• Puzzle: When you see a place you can use a rope arrow, do so. Go up as high as you can until you encounter a walkway that holds the item.
• Unique Loot: The Golden Keep
• Location: It is in a showcase in Ector's Emporium.
• Puzzle: There are several obelisks with switches you must press in the correct order: Kaitlin Court, Watch Station Plaza, and Moorsditch. Once you press them all, return to the Emporium to collect the item.

Chapter 6: A Man Apart

• Unique Loot: Heart of the Lion
• Location: Enter the Old Family Chapel.
• Puzzle: First, you must rotate four disks on the side from which you can look inside. Leave the first from the top alone. Turn the second once to the right, and turn the third once to the right, as well. Turn the fourth two times in any direction. Once you have done that, go to the other side. There, turn the disks until they all turn red. This will unlock your way to the item.

Chapter 7: The Hidden City

• Unique Loot: City Artifact
• Location: In Treasure Run, go to the Loading Dock Exterior.
• Puzzle: Enter the cave and use your Focus to locate the item. It should be easy to find.

Earning More Gold Guide Guides

Skills:

• Intuition I - With this, loot will be marked out in blue when you view an area with Focus, including loot-containing satchels worn by guards. Guards and other dangers will be marked out in red.
• Intuition II - When you view an area with Focus, blue handprints will appear near levers that reveal hidden loot.
• Dexterity I - With this, you can pickpocket more items from a single target with less risk of being caught.

General tips:

• When you pick a lock, the noise can wake up guards sleeping nearby. Extinguish torches and switch off lights. Without lights, the guards are more likely to return to sleep instead of chasing you.
• Only try to pickpocket one guard at a time. If two are together, use some sort of distraction, such as tossing a bottle or extinguishing a light, to draw them apart. Then you can go after them one at a time.
