Hints

Experience Bonus

Two player characters can use the Pledge of Mara at a certain Shrine to Mara to marry one another, which gives each 10% more experience when both are online at the same time and wearing their Rings of Mara. Currently the required items for the ritual are only available to players who bought the Imperial Edition of the game.

If you can obtain another Pledge of Mara from someone else, it is possible to marry more than one player, although since you need to wear the Rings of Mara to get the experience bonus, and there are only two ring slots, you can't get more than 20% boost.

Basic Classes Guide

There are four basic classes you can choose from no matter what your race is. Since you can combine abilities from other classes, these are not as rigid as standard MMO classes, but your class will still determine your core abilities.

Templar

Possible paths:

  • Aedric Spear - Offense-based role, with strong magical attacks and some crowd-control attacks.
  • Dawn's Wrath - Tank-like role, with debuff attacks to weaken enemies.
  • Restoring Light - Healer role, with healing magic and buff spells.

Dragonknight

Possible paths:

  • Ardent Flame
  • Draconic Power
  • Earthen Heart

All three of these paths are flexible. The Dragonknight can deal a lot of damage while also having access to strong defensive abilities, buff spells, and some healing spells.

Sorcerer

Possible paths:

  • Dark Magic - This role has strong magical attacks.
  • Daedric Summoning - This allows the summoning of minions to help in combat.
  • Storm Calling - This role focuses on area magical attacks and crowd control.

Nightblade

Possible paths:

  • Assassination - Speed-based role, with low defense, but the ability to deal quick attacks that do a lot of damage.
  • Siphoning - This allows players to drain power, health, etc. from their enemies, making it a good counterpart to the Assassination role.
  • Shadow - Stealth-based role that focuses on backstabs and similar attacks.
