Pick 9 teams. If you play National League then you pick 4 NL teams and 5 AL teams. Bring down all the attributes to 0 and pump up your team attributes to 99. Play post season. Make your team the wild card team. You should win big in all your games. You can play a regular pace or quick count. Just make sure you play beginner, legend mode. You should make over 5000 stubs for the whole post season!

Can  you  use  retired  players  for  the  home  run  derby?

It  seems  San  Diego  Studio,  the  producers  have  not  added  the  option  to  use  retired  players.
This  is  likely  due  to  the  licensing  of  teams  to  the  producers,  or  agreements  made  with  the  active  players  during  the  release  of  the  game.
