The game has an auto-save feature that can’t be disabled and will always overwrite your most recent save. If you want the ability to reload your game if something goes wrong or you have a string of bad luck, all you need to do is make a manual save and then a second manual save. This ensures the auto-save will save over the second manual save, leading the first manual save for you to reload from.
The in-game coins allow you to make purchases without spending real money. If you want to buy new packs, you’ll need to have enough coins. Fortunately, there are ways you can earn more coins in the game.
Daily Objectives – Always complete your Daily Objectives. Each objective will reward you with coins. If your objective is to buy a pack, however, you risk losing some coins, but it can still be worthwhile if you intended to buy packs anyway.
Challenges – Challenges also reward you with a nice amount of coins. You’ll want to complete both the Campaign Challenges and the Legends Challenges. However, these do not repeat and you won’t get more. Once you complete all of these, you’ll have earned all the coins you can from this method.
Solo Battles – Completing Solo Battles will reward you with some coins as well as other rewards. Solo Battles reset each week, so check back weekly to play additional battles.
Different teams have different strengths. If you want to play a passing game, you’ll want to choose a team built around passing. You can customize this to some degree, but in general you should decide upon a preferred playstyle and then choose your build your team around that plan.
At the same time, however, you don’t want to be too predictable. Don’t use the same plays over and over again. Even if you prefer passing, throw in a few running plays so the opposing team won’t know what to expect. Try to trick them into expecting one thing when you actually have something else planned.
While running with the ball, you can hold the right shoulder button to protect it. This is useful if you think you’re going to be tackled, because it makes it less likely that the player will lose the ball when he goes to the ground.
The Skills Trainer will give you the basic skills you need to play the game. It’s a good place to get started if you’re new to the series or if you just want a basic overview.
Speed damages your accuracy while running. While sprinting is good a lot of the time, you’ll want to slow down before turning or dodging a player.
When it comes to kicking the ball, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind. First, check the wind indicator and adjust your kick accordingly. Depending on the wind, you might need to compensate in the other direction. Next, try to have high accuracy and high power, to make it the best kick possible. Keep your eye on the meter, but don’t worry about getting it exactly right.
