Alan, Destroyer of Worlds
Easter EggsIn the Arctic Ocean, you can spot a shark frozen to death in the background. This is Alan, Destroyer of Worlds, one of the playable characters from Hungry Shark Evolution.
The Lusitanic
Easter EggsThere is a large sunken ship you can find underwater, with its name written on the side as “Lusitanic.” Due to its design and the nature of its sinking, it appears to be a reference to the Titanic. However, with the name being Lusitanic, it’s possible that this doubles as a reference to the Lusitania, a British ocean liner sunk by a German U-boat shortly ahead of the United States entering World War I.
Kempy Bass
Easter EggsThere is a tombstone you can find for that says on it, “Eaten, but not forgotten… The Kempy Bass. Died, 21st Spetember [sic] 2015. Age 1000. RIP.” In Hungry Shark Evolution, Kempy Bass was a very rare type of prey located deep underwater, particularly in the Kempy Cave.
Superman's Hideout
Easter EggsIn a dangerous part of the Arctic, you can find Superman’s hideout, including pipes, a TV, a couch, and more.
Glutwell
Easter EggsIn the military base, a sign in the background reads “Restricted Area: Trespassing will result in the use of deadly force,” with a sunflower logo and the name “Glutwell Corp” beneath the message.
Visiting the website www.glutwell.com takes you to a site for Glutwell Corp, featuring the same sunflower logo, a description of the company’s devotion to its customers, and an advertisement for “Splum,” the fast food restaurant that can be seen in the game’s world.
The site also includes links to its social media pages for Glutwell Corp, although it has not been active in quite a while.
Using Pets
HintsPets can help you out by getting more prey, and some also have special abilities, such as eating jellyfish, targeting submarines, or increasing your health. L and XL tier sharks can take two pets with them, while the larger sharks can take three.
Basic Tips
HintsYou’ll want to eat as much as possible, or you’ll die. If you die, just start again and keep on trying. Eventually, your hard work will pay off.
Dive and then swim up to the surface to become temporarily airborne, which will allow you to overcome surface barriers or eat birds.
Some creatures are dangerous to you. Either avoid them or sneak up on them if you’re large enough to eat other predators.
You can also go up on land and eat humans, but staying too long will attract attention and you’ll be shot by the police. Make your surface visits quick.
Eating gold fish rewards you with more gold.
If you eat enough things, you’ll activate the “Gold Rush” meter that lets you get more gold for the duration of the meter.
Eating an entire school of fish at once will give you a “Shoal Bonus,” which increases the life you restore. Try to do this often, especially if your life is running low.
You can upgrade your maps to find out where things are located in a given level. Fully upgraded maps can be a big bonus to your efforts.
Your sharks also have upgrades available. Prioritize upgrading your Bite, then your Speed, and then finally your Boost.
While Boost clearly increases your speed, it also increases your attack power temporarily. Use Boost if you’re going after a dangerous creature or a scuba diver.
Whenever you begin a stage, check on the three missions. Completing the three missions will result in bonus coins as a reward.
