Easter Eggs

Nearly Headless Nick

Remember Nearly Headless Nick from the Harry Potter books and movies? He appears in Hogwarts Legacy! You can spot him wandering around the castle in different places, like the Gryffindor common room. He's also part of a quest called the Headless Hunt! Sir Nick wants to join in on the Headless Hunt's games, but the decapitated ghost of Sir Patrick Delaney crushes his dreams. Ouch!

If you're a die-hard Harry Potter fan, you know that Nearly Headless Nick has always been denied entry into the Headless Hunt because his head isn't fully detached. Poor guy even gets teased about it at his 500th Deathday party in the books. And get this; when Harry arrives at Hogwarts, he discovers that Nick's request to join the Hunt has been rejected again. Can you believe it?

So yeah, we can only imagine that Nick keeps asking for an invitation to the Headless Hunt for, like, the next century after the events of Hogwarts Legacy. You can still see Nearly Headless Nick around the castle while exploring.

Entrance to the Chamber of Secrets

You will be very familiar with its entrance if you have read or watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. If you cast the spell “Revelio,” the snake symbol will appear on the tap. All that's needed then is a bit of parcel tongue to open it.

Goblet of Fire Casket

Climb the big staircase to the highest floor to reach the trophy room. When you go inside, you'll spot the fancy casket with jewels that contains the Goblet of Fire. Once again, use the spell Revelio to reveal a page in a field guide that confirms this is the same goblet used to choose the champions for the Triwizard Tournament, just like in the Harry Potter books and movies.

How to Improve Your Gameplay

Hints

Buy A Broom Fast

Unlike in the Harry Potter series, where Albus Dumbledore was the man in charge, things are different here. We have Phineas Nigellus Black calling the shots, and he's not exactly the friendliest face around. He's banned Quidditch from the school for the current year because of an injury during the previous season.

But don't worry, because there's still something super cool, you can do with your trusty broomstick in Hogwarts Legacy. You see, the broom is not just for Quidditch. It's also an excellent means of transportation within the game. You can buy a broom for 600 gold. There are 13 different models, each with a unique look. However, they all fly the same way.

If you want to take your flying skills to the next level, there's a special quest called "Flight Test" that you can embark on. By completing three timed races, you'll unlock the ability to purchase upgrades for your broom in Hogsmeade. If you can, save up and buy a broom as soon as possible.

Unlock Fast Travel Points

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the first open-world wizarding games, and its map is pretty large. To get around faster, you need to try to unlock fast travel points. In Hogwarts Legacy, Floo Flames serve as fast travel points. Ports that have yet to be activated appear as gray flames on the map. Green flames mark the stations you can already use.

Level Up Quickly

If you want to level up quickly in the game, battle arenas are where it's at! These awesome places will put your fighting skills to the test. And the best part? You'll be rewarded with loads of XP for each wave you conquer and completing the entire arena.

In Hogwarts Legacy, battle arenas are scattered throughout the game world. Three are in Nord Ford Bog, Feldcroft, and the Forbidden Forest (Dark Arts Battle Arena). Remember, though, that the Dark Arts Battle Arena is exclusively available to players who own the Deluxe Edition. So choose your arena, dive into the action, and level up like a champ!

Search for Chests

While you explore the large open world of Hogwarts Legacy, keep an eye out for chests scattered around. These chests hold awesome surprises like gold and valuable items. You can trade the items for shiny gold if you don't need them. But here's the thing, not all chests are easy to open. Some require skill, intuition, or even a well-placed spell to unlock the coveted treasure. So get ready to put your gaming skills to the test and uncover the hidden rewards!
