Here are our Hints for HITMAN 2 on Playstation 4. The most trustworthy items get the most 'thumbs up' from our users and appear nearer the top!

Each mission has numerous disguises you can use. While you won’t need all of them to succeed, using every disguise for a single mission (across your attempts; it doesn’t all have to be in one run) will let you complete the Chameleon challenge for that area.

Each main location has security cameras. Being caught on camera doing something suspicious will cause guards to come check the location. It’ll also affect your mission score if you’re caught on camera too many times. However, cameras can be destroyed or deactivated. Deactivating the cameras is especially useful because it erases the footage and completely deactivates the camera system for that area. Don’t try to rush. You’ll have a better idea of how to approach your target if you take your time to get used to an area and listen to the NPC dialogue.

Stealth is an important part of the game. While you do have weapons, you’ll want to go undetected as often as you can and act in secrecy.

Disguises are very useful and will give you access to new areas. Always be on the lookout for a character on their own whose clothes you can take. Just make sure you have a disguise that fits the place you’re trying to access.

Items can also be helpful. If you see something you can pick up, take it with you. You might find a use for it later.

Briefcases can be cover for guns and other suspicious items you don’t want people to see you with.

If you’re spotted, you still have a chance to get away. Try to hide or blend in with a crowd in order to shake off your pursuit and avoid detection. Changing into a disguise will also help you lose your pursuers.

Try to destroy the security cameras or deactivate the security system as early as you can.

Mission Stories provide you with goals that will lead you to take down your  target. This is a good way to complete the mission on your first attempt. You can start a Mission Story either naturally in the area or by viewing it from the pause menu. This is especially good if you’re a beginner, to help you get a feel for the area and the objectives before trying other methods of completing the mission.

Replaying missions is a key part of the game. Replay missions often to try out different things, complete challenges, and also just get a better feel for the gameplay and the variety of options available to you.
