Sci-Fi Monolith
Easter EggsThere is a monolith with a message that (when each line is read backwards) translates to: “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, we, The Kovax, sought to boldly go where no one had gone before. And so we each took up our towels, held our thumbs aloft and hitchhiked our way across the universe to carve a monolith.”
This impressively references Star Wars, Star Trek, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and 2001: A Space Odyssey in a single message.
Easy Money
WskazówkiSince there are infinite asteroids, the easiest way to earn money in No Man’s Sky is to shoot the asteroids near a space station to mine them, sell the mined materials at the space station, and repeat the process.
If you have a lot of plutonium and iron, which do not sell for a lot, use them to make Bypass Chips. Bypass Chips can be sold for 3500 units apiece.
Note: infinite money glitches have largely been fixed through patches, but since these methods do not make use of any glitches, they should be reliable.
R2D2 starship
Easter EggsSome starships have a cylindrical object sticking out of the wing that strongly resembles the way R2D2 looks while sitting in a fighter.
Sci-Fi Novel Trophies
Easter Eggs“A Scanner Darkly” is a reference to a sci-fi novel of the same name by Phillip K. Dick. Likewise, “Stranger in a Strange Land” references a sci-fi novel by Robert A. Heinlein, and “Forever War” references a sci-fi novel by Joe Haldeman.
