Mastering the Strike Zone and Basic Throws

Let's dive into a pitching practice session. First, we have the red batter's box, which is the strike zone where you want to aim your throws. If you're new to pitching and not using the cannon, and you want to learn how to throw, It is recommended that you enter the pitching practice and treat it like a game of catch with someone standing about 10 feet in front of you.

Slow Throws, Hard Throws, and the Art of the Change-up

You can observe the difference between throwing it slowly and throwing it harder in the next pitch to see the accuracy level. Because, you know, it can be like that - the harder you throw, the more inaccurate it becomes. The cool thing is that executing a slow-motion throw like that creates an unofficial change-up.

Pitching Styles and Techniques

The pitching motion you can try using is sidearm. There are various ways to pitch - some people prefer throwing overhand, while others go for a submarine style, where their hand is almost close to the ground. You need to find a pitching style that suits you.

Another crucial aspect is finding the release point when gripping and holding the ball. You must let go at the right moment as if throwing a real baseball.

Slow and Steady Wins the Game

I recommend throwing slowly; don't strain your arm attempting a 90-mile-per-hour fastball. Just gently lob it as if you were playing catch with someone. Don't overexert yourself; enjoy the process and keep practicing because that's the only way to improve. We highly recommend entering the pitching practice. As they say, practice makes perfect. So, keep practicing, and you'll become an exceptional pitcher in no time.
