Earn Gold From Monsters

Night is dangerous as it is when the game’s enemies begin to spawn. However, like most games, by killing these enemies, you can gain gold, which you can use to buy weapons, potions, and the machete.

Tools You Will Need to Play

• Hammer - the hammer is the only item your character has as you begin the game. You can use it to collect various materials around the island: sticks from bushes, wood from trees, and stones from rocks. These materials can be given to the boat trader at the bottom of the map (you’ll have to find the hidden path to get to him).
  The hammer also doubles as a weapon, which is particularly useful at night. Right-click to throw your hammer at an enemy and right-click again to call it back. 
• Wand - The wand shines brightly to reveal hidden enemies for a short time, during which you can hit them with your preferred weapon. You can find the want in the church-like building on the top right side of the map.
• Machete - The machete opens new paths and secret areas you can travel through to find weapons, merchants, or interesting secrets. You can purchase the machete from the Big Smith.
• Necklace - The necklace lets you purchase blueprints from Boat Boi, the merchant. Head for the hidden path on the bottom right of your map and follow the brick path. You’ll find the necklace on the path near Boat Boi’s ship.

Favorite Weapons for Interesting Combos

You can favorite one of your weapons by pressing “F” and then selecting one of the weapons in your hotbar. When you throw your hammer, your hotbar should jump to your favorite weapon, which you can use to attack your enemies before calling your hammer back. This mechanic allows you to set up your combos.

Use the Correct Tool Against Your Enemies

There are different kinds of enemies, and your ability to kill them will depend on the weapons you choose - some are less affected by certain weapons than others. Some of the enemies are even invulnerable.

The Phantom enemies are particularly annoying, as you can only hit them when you can see them. Fortunately, they shouldn’t stand a chance once you get the wand.

You'll find a path to unlock at the top right of your map. Follow it up, and it’ll lead you to a second path. After entering this secret area, follow the path up and to the left, where you’ll find a walkway with statues decorating either side.

Each statue holds a tool or weapon you can collect in the game, including the necklace, the Fire Staff, the shield, and the bow. It’s a fun little tribute if you make it up.
