Video Game on TV

Easter Eggs

There is a working TV on which a video game is being displayed. Neither the TV nor the console can be damaged.

All Gnome Locations

Hints

21 garden gnomes are hidden throughout the game as a collectible item.

Each gnome has its own name, appearance, and description including the “Dark Side Gnome” that references Star Wars, the “Italian Plumber Gnome” that references Mario, the “Green Plumber Gnome” that references Luigi, and “Jultomtem,” which references Santa Claus (Jultomtem being the Swedish name for Santa Claus), among others.

If you’re having trouble finding any, use the video guide below for help.

Back to the Future car

Easter Eggs

In the northwest area of the map, you can find the car from Back to the Future. If you interact with it by going around to the back, it will leave and fly around the barn a few times before disappearing.

FYI  -  At  least  on  Xbox  One.
The  car  can  only  be  activated  once.  After  it  respawns  you  can  no  longer  activate  it  to  make  it  fly  again.

Kalle and Ada

Easter Eggs

How to survive?

Guides

Get a pair of binoculars, then when you find a high enough place do some spotting before actually going places! You can see what buildings you can enter and the ones you can not, or see a scaffold to climb up! If you're getting shot at don't stay in one spot you have to move! Especially by the big robots their missiles are locked on target so yes you have to move!

Dark Souls reference

Easter Eggs

West of Salthamn, you can find a bonfire with a weapon in it. This is a reference to Dark Souls, as well as a hidden weapon, since you can take it.

Monty Python reference

Easter Eggs

Locked storage houses sometimes contain the Holy Hand Grenade from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It is more powerful than a regular grenade.

Item Storage / Transfer Items

Hints

The game world is persistent until you close the game completely. This means you can switch characters and have your game world remain exactly as you left it. This allows you to get around inventory limitations by creating a second character to use for storage. When you need an item you’ve given to your storage character, just drop it in a safe house, then switch to your main character and collect it.

However, if your game crashes you will lose any item that was on the ground at the time. Use this method with caution.

This  is  no  longer  accurate  unfortunately,  at  least  on  Xbox  One.  When  quitting  to  swap  characters  the  game  world  now  reloads  each  time.
