How to Trigger Every Ending

Разблокируемый

If you plan ahead, you can grab all four endings in two or three playthroughs using saves. Broad strokes:

  • Damnation (selfish route)
    • Keep relationships low: be dismissive, hoard safety, let others fail.
    • In the pod sequence, block or abandon others. Prioritize yourself.
  • Sacrifice (hero route)
    • Build high trust with Cooper, Fern, and others.
    • Manually open the pod for two survivors and stay behind.
  • Redemption (gold route)
    • Maintain high relationships across the board.
    • Flawless/emergency surgery success in Chapter 7.
    • Use Crawford’s prototype effectively against the creature.
    • Persuade Dr. Maxson to shut the machine down.
    • Escape with two survivors.
  • Chaos (burn-it-all-down route)
    • Undermine systems and ignore procedures throughout.
    • Push the facility into cascading failure and temporal instability.
    • The finale spirals into paradox—expect ambiguity.

Tip: Park a save right before the last big decisions in Chapters 7–8 to branch efficiently.

Streamer Mode and Audience Play-Along

Разблокируемый

Want to let chat choose your fate? Streamer Mode is built for that.

  • How it works: Toggle it in Settings. Choice timers are removed, so you can poll your viewers without rushing.
  • What it changes: Nothing in the story—just the pacing.
  • Viewer-friendly QoL: Prominent skip prompts on scenes you’ve already seen in-loop, keeping streams snappy.
  • Relationship tracker on display: Let chat watch trust meters rise and fall as they vote chaos or kindness.
  • Chapter Select unlocks after one completion. Use it to revisit forks for achievements or alternate endings without nuking your main save. Choices made in a Chapter Select run persist only for that session.

Perfect for collaborative runs where “let’s see the worst possible death” wins every poll.

Switch Version Woes — Freezes, Audio Desync, and Fixes

Сбои

The Switch port runs, but it’s quirky. Here’s what’s up and how to cope:

  • Fake freezes at transitions: Looks crashed, but it’s long loading. Wait ~2–3 minutes before killing the app—especially on microSD.
  • Install to internal storage if possible. It reduces those hangs.
  • Audio desync (surgery scenes): If timing feels off, restart the game to resync audio and lip movements.
  • UI stutter during effects: Choice prompts may lag during heavy VFX. If timers stress you, consider the mode that removes them.
  • Rare save corruption: Avoid putting the Switch into sleep during FMV or right after choices. Pause via the in-game menu first.

Keep patience handy. The content’s worth it; the loading, less so.

PC Fixes — Input Lag, Audio Routing, and GPU Oddities

Сбои

On PC, most issues are fixable with settings tweaks:

  • Choices not registering / input lag: Disable the Steam Overlay (Steam > Settings > In-Game). Fully restart the game afterward.
  • Missing voices or silent cutscenes: Unplug extra USB audio devices, launch with only your primary output, then reconnect the rest. Some mics conflict—leave them unplugged during play if needed.
  • NVIDIA visual artifacts/tearing: Update GPU drivers. If it persists, force VSync via NVIDIA Control Panel. AMD users can try driver-level VSync too.
  • Ultrawide monitors: FMV is 16:9. Expect pillarboxing. Best workaround: windowed 16:9 to avoid weird scaling.
  • Hard reset of configs: Steam app folder is 1346840. As a last resort, delete local config/cache to regenerate clean settings.

Test after each change so you know what actually fixed it.

Lower PC input delay and eliminate unregistered choices—tips to reduce controller/keyboard latency on Windows. Useful for Dead Reset PC players troubleshooting input lag and related Steam Overlay issues.

Achievement Tracking Bugs (Especially “Slaughter”)

Сбои

A few achievements don’t play nice, with Slaughter (every Chapter 1 death) being the big offender.

What’s happening: Many players report it won’t pop even after seeing all deaths, including obscure ones and inaction variants.

Hidden deaths to check:

  • Multiple distinct surgical tool mistakes.
  • Inaction during critical prompts.
  • Extra environmental or timing-based fails outside the obvious.

Force refresh tricks: After meeting requirements, complete another small objective, then exit to main menu and reload. Some unlocks trigger late.

Stats screen lies: If progress percentages look wrong, verify via your platform’s achievement list instead—the underlying save is usually fine.

If you’re meticulous and it still won’t unlock, it may simply be bugged in the current build. Keep a save near early forks in case a future patch fixes it.

Die to Progress — Mastering Dead Reset’s Time Loop

Подсказки

Dead Reset flips the survival-horror script: dying is how you move forward. Cole’s resets are tied to a machine in the facility, and as power surges hit, your reset point shifts. That’s not a bug—it’s the puzzle.

Here’s how to think about it:

  • Failure is data. Some routes only open after you’ve seen specific deaths. Try the “wrong” choice on purpose to learn.
  • Déjà Vu (Chapter 1) is your classroom. Repeat the surgery scene to unlock new dialogue. Drop “impossible” info like the fingerprint lock on Slade’s gun or the patient’s name, Amanda, to prove the loop.
  • Watch your relationships. The relationship tracker shows your standing—alive characters only. It drives late-game paths and even who fits in the escape pod.
  • Not everyone can be won over. Some rivals (hi, Slade) trend antagonistic no matter what.
  • Time pressure’s real—unless you switch it off. There’s a mode that removes choice timers if you want to think (or stream), but it doesn’t change outcomes.

Pro tip: If a choice feels like a trap, it probably is—and that’s useful. Take the hit, learn the line, come back smarter.

Survival Without Loot: Info, Trust, and Smart Deaths

Подсказки

Forget hoarding ammo—your resources are information and relationships.

  • Scout with your life. Early loops are perfect for mapping danger zones and learning who you can trust.
  • Surgery scenes matter. Follow proper procedure—incisions, clamps, bleeding control. Wrong tools = reset (and monster time). Listen closely to Dr. Maxson and staff cues.
  • Guns aren’t the answer. When you do touch a firearm, it barely helps against the parasite. Run, hide, and obey the environment.
  • “Squeeze” is navigation boot camp. Stick to Fern’s radio guidance in the tunnels. Stray and you’ll feed the thing.
  • Oxygen run (late game). Plot the path to Dr. Crawford and the retinal scanner before your big timed attempt. Practice loops let you memorize landmarks so you don’t suffocate on the real run.

When in doubt, pick the choice that reveals the most info—even if it hurts. Future-you will thank you.

Full Chapter Roadmap (Spoiler-Light)

Руководства

Eight chapters, branching paths, four endings. Here’s what each chapter actually tests you on:

  • 1. Déjà Vu — Learn the loop. Repeat the surgery, drop foreknowledge (Amanda, Slade’s gun), and build credibility.
  • 2. Squeeze — Stealth and pathing in the tunnels. Follow Fern’s directions. Many lethal wrong turns.
  • 3. Harbinger — The creature evolves—and learns from loops. Decide whether to chase research or escape.
  • 4. Metamorphosis — Identity crisis. Face accusations about Cole’s past and make moral calls that hit relationships hard.
  • 5. Cascade — Power surges shift reset points. Juggle crises and use new checkpoints to optimize complex sequences.
  • 6. Abyss — Long, tense oxygen-limited run. Find Dr. Crawford, pull the retina, restore atmosphere, and consider a risky prototype temporal weapon.
  • 7. Operation — High-stakes surgery under pressure. Precision matters; trust levels decide how helpful allies are.
  • 8. Redemption — Escape pod drama: limited seats, big morality checks. Choices + relationships + machine/creature decisions = one of four endings.

Tips:

  • Keep flexible saves or use Chapter Select later to test forks.
  • If a scene repeats with tiny changes, watch for new dialogue—you probably unlocked it with a prior death.

Achievement/Trophy Guide in One Run (and a Half)

Руководства

You’re looking at ~4–5 hours for 100%, but you’ll need multiple playthroughs because of mutually exclusive choices.

Best practices:

  • Story clears: 8 auto-unlocks for finishing each chapter.
  • Manual saves or Chapter Select: Bookmark big decision points to branch efficiently.
  • Endings (4 total):
    • Damnation — Low relationships, selfish choices, monopolize the pod.
    • Sacrifice — High trust; send others up, stay behind.
    • Redemption — High trust with everyone, clean surgery in Chapter 7, use Crawford’s prototype well, convince Maxson to shut the machine down.
    • Chaos — Destabilize systems, ignore safety, spiral the facility.
  • Death achievements: The game rewards creative failure. Chapter 1 has many unique deaths—surgical missteps, Slade, inaction, environmental accidents.
  • Relationship achievements:
    • Redeemer — Max positive relationships with all who can survive.
    • Romeo — Romance path with Cooper; back her morals and protect her consistently.
    • Chimera — Keep everyone neutral/negative; pure self-pres.
  • Secret cheevos: Expect weird deaths, oddball choices, and hidden scene variants. Experiment, then use Chapter Select to mop up.

Heads-up: Some players report the Slaughter achievement (all Chapter 1 deaths) not registering in recent builds. If you’re thorough and it won’t pop, it may be bugged.
