Inafune

Œufs de Pâques

If you check the description for the Energy Rifle under Joule’s Notes, it refers to the weapon as an “Inafune Heavy Industries Mk. 3 Energy Rifle.” This is a reference to Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man. Inafune’s company Comcept co-developed ReCore.

Prismatic Core Tips

Indices

Prismatic Cores unlock new areas. Some are related to the story, while others are for dungeons. Some can only be found if you have specific upgrades, so you’ll need to backtrack to get all of them. 45 Prismatic Cores are necessary to complete the main story. If you collect 75 Prismatic Cores, you’ll be able to unlock the final dungeon, Tyrant’s Forge. (Note: there are more than 75 cores in the game.) There are: 6 in Granite Steps 12 in Lonely Basin 10 in The Cradle 10 in Shifting Sands 4 in Pylon 512 and many others. The K-9 frame is very helpful if you’re trying to find cores. When upgraded enough, it will even let your companion automatically find dig sites and automatically dig them up, making it easier for you to find buried Prismatic Cores.

Extraction Tips

Indices

When you look at an enemy’s health bar (for many enemies, but not all), you will see a little white marker on it. This indicates the point where the enemy’s core will become vulnerable. Core extraction instantly destroys the enemy, although you won’t be able to get upgrade parts from it. Once the enemy’s health is below that mark, press R3 to attempt to extract the core. Pull the right analog stick down to pull the core, but ease up if the cable turns white so that you don’t break it. Stay alert, because other enemies can attack you while you’re trying to extract a core. However, if you get your combo multiplier up to 10 and then trigger an extraction, you will automatically extract the core. Try to time it so that you can use this on tough enemies.

All Audio Log Locations

Indices

There are 40 audio logs hidden throughout the game. These audio logs provide more details about the lore and world. Four different characters have recorded the audio logs, with ten for each, and the color of the log indicates whose it is. Red – Julius Roldán Purple – Violet Blue – Thomas Adams Orange – Natalie Bright Use the video guide below if you’re having trouble finding all 40 audio logs.

Basic Tips

Indices

Enemies are essentially color-coded. Use the same color gun as the enemies you’re fighting, and the battle will go much better. Target weaker enemies first to build up your combo multiplier. Don’t stand still during combat. Use jumps and dashes to avoid enemy attacks. Break yellow crates whenever you see them. Whenever you return to your base, the parts and cores you’ve collected will automatically move from your inventory to storage. When dealing with tricky platforming sections, dash off the edge instead of jumping. This will let you double jump and dash again after leaving the edge, maximizing the distance you can cover. Upgrade your Corebots often and make sure to level them up. Use the workbench to convert parts you find to higher tiers so you can build better items.
