The best way to get loads of hacksilver is by smashing as many of the surrounding objects as you can. Hacksilver is GOWR's primary currency and can be used to upgrade your weapons and armor. Each realm has its own set of chests, and there are loads of guides to open them. When it comes to unlocking a chest, you will either have to throw your axe at certain objects to activate the symbol on them or you will have to ignite a fire pit. 

Always check the runic symbols listed at the base of the chest you are trying to open, and then hit the objects in the same order as on the chest. The objects are sometimes very easy to find, and other times they require you to do a little searching.
