The Slums is a good place to level up, because there are many enemies there so you can fight them quickly. A more dangerous place for leveling once you’re stronger is The Underworks.

Quests don’t always spell out exactly where you need to go, and the journal doesn’t always include information about the quests, so make sure you pay close attention to the dialogue when you receive one.

Always take a companion or two with you for their help, especially since you won’t get a game over if they fall in combat.

Opening locks is a good skill to invest in early on.
