God Mode Glitch

You can enter a special floating mode, or “god mode,” by performing the steps described below.

1.      Save your game at a campfire. (This is so that you can leave god mode once you’re ready to resume playing the game normally.)

2.      Head to the area where you want to float.

3.      Look down at the ground and hold the Down button.

4.      While still pressing Down, tap R1.

5.      Let go of the Down button and press X.

Aloy will now be floating, allowing you to travel anywhere through the air using the left stick and even enter otherwise inaccessible areas. (Unfortunately, there is no vertical movement.) Any items you drop will also float.

To return to normal gameplay, open the Options menu and select “Restart from save” to return to the save you made at the campfire.

Unlimited Fast Travel Déverrouillables

A merchant in the central market of Meridian sells an item called Golden Fast Travel Pack. It costs 50 metal shards, 10 fatty meat, and 1 fox skin, and it unlocks unlimited fast travel.

Shield Weaver (Invincible Armor) Déverrouillables

If you find a Power Cell, you’ll begin the quest called “Ancient Armory.” When you have all 5 Power Cells, you can follow this quest to a special bunker, where you’ll unlock the Shield Weaver armor that makes Aloy almost entirely invincible.

The five Power Cells can be found at:

  • All-Mother
  • Maker’s End
  • Grave-Hoard
  • GAIA Prime
  • Ruins (the ones Aloy fell into when she was a child)

Death Stranding collectibles Œufs de Pâques

Three items in Horizon: Zero Dawn are references to Hideo Kojima’s game Death Stranding.

Once you perform the story quest “The Proving,” go to the All-Mother ruins to find the Stranded Figure item. This is a doll that looks like the doll in the second Death Stranding trailer.

During or after the story quest “The Grave-Hoard,” enter the Grave-Hoard and follow the left wall until you reach the first room with enemies. You’ll find an item called the Stranded Necklace. This necklace matches the dog tags worn by Norman Reedus’s character in the first Death Stranding trailer.

Finally, after the story quest “Deep Secrets of the World,” enter the Zero Dawn dungeon and head to the southwestern area of the map in order to find the Stranded Shackles. These shackles resemble those also worn by Normun Reedus’s character in the first Death Stranding trailer.

The symbol used for these items is also the helmet silhouette used in the logo for Kojima Productions.

These Easter eggs are all likely nods to the fact that the developer (Guerilla Games) gave Kojima their Decima game engine to use for Death Stranding.

Jazz Jackrabbit Œufs de Pâques

Near the mining camp after you find the War Chief, you can find two rabbits named Jazz and Jack. This is a reference to the 1994 game Jazz Jackrabbit. The primary coder of Jazz Jackrabbit was a programmer named Arjan Brussee, who went on to be the co-founder of Guerilla Games, the developer of Horizon.

Killzone Mug Œufs de Pâques

One of the “ancient vessels” you can find is called the KZ vessel and depicts a “threatening red-eyed visage” that should be familiar to anyone who has played the Killzone series, also from Guerilla Games, since the image on this mug is a Helghast soldier.
