How to Stay Alive

Guides

Chivalry 2 is a melee combat fighting game, and learning to survive can be just as hard as mastering all the fighting techniques. Defending yourself isn't as simple as tapping a button; blocking requires you to aim your shield or crosshair at your enemy's attack.

Blocking requires you to readjust and aim your crosshairs at the attacking weapon. Blocking consumes your stamina and will leave you vulnerable to attack when your stamina has been exhausted.

Parrying is an effective method of blocking an enemy's attack without losing too much stamina. You can party an attack by pressing the block button before your enemy's attack makes an impact.

How To Beat 5 Attackers

Guides

There will be situations in Chivalry 2 where you will have to fight multiple attackers at once, there are some ways in which you can beat them without dying. One of the key elements to survival is to remain on the outside of the attacking group, don’t get surrounded by the enemy.

Stay on the outskirts of the group and attack enemies that are approaching you, don’t allow the enemy to attack you from the opposite side. There is no harm in blocking an attack from one enemy and redirecting your counterattack to another enemy.

Some players will attack one enemy at a time and try to eliminate a single attacker, this technique may work in some scenarios, but it is better to attack enemies that are unexpected. Do damage to different individuals that are preparing to strike, and catch them off guard.

Blocking will deplete your stamina, and taking hit after hit will not increase your chances of beating five attackers. Whilst you can block some attacks, blocking enemies will give an opportunity for an approaching attacker to disarm you.

Maintaining good footwork will increase the chances of success against an approaching group. Great footwork and predicting attacks will allow you to dodge and avoid any enemy attack.

If an enemy has the tendency to block, kicking them is a way to counterattack players that use shields. Kicking a player will not stop an attack, so make sure to only use the kicking option when you are sure that they are not attacking.

ChronicOption takes you through a guide on how not to die in Chivalry 2.
