S Rank vs Z Rank: Two Doors to the Same Backstage

    Freischaltbar

Chapter 3’s show format grades your performance, and both extremes open secrets.

  • S Rank: Grants access to the S Rank room in the Green Room, where you’ll find the minigames that lead to the Shadow Mantle. You can replay Tenna’s boards to improve your rank.
  • Z Rank: Intentionally bomb it—take 8+ turns and keep TP under 70%. This opens the Z Rank Changing Room, which connects via a manhole to backdoor routes.
  • Z Rank paths let you reach console minigames even without S Rank. It’s an alternate progression for stubborn content hunters.
  • Either way, the goal is the same: get to the Mantle and crack open the chapter’s hardest fights.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Z Rank Changing Room: discover the secret boss alternate entrance unlocked by earning Z Rank on Board 1—a backdoor route toward late-game minigames and the Shadow Mantle.

The Chapter 3 Egg: TV World Riddle and the Forgotten Man

    Ostereier

Yup, the egg saga continues. Chapter 3’s egg hides behind a TV World scavenger hunt and one very touchy conversation.

    How to snag it:

  • In TV World, clear every quiz on the big TV screens to unlock a secret door.
  • Solve the Block Minigame—shuffle blocks, hit switches, and follow the number pattern to progress.
  • Find the secluded tree and talk to the mysterious figure. When asked “Will you forget me, too?” say No. For the other prompts (remembering, understanding, writing things down), answer Yes consistently.
  • You’ll get the Egg, but unlike earlier chapters, it stays in your inventory into Chapter 4.
  • Kris’s status updates to “enjoying the youthful days,” which… probably means something later.
  • It’s classic Deltarune: cryptic, moody, and just a bit unsettling.

How to get the Deltarune Chapter 3 Egg: clear TV World quizzes, solve the block puzzle, and answer the Forgotten Man correctly to secure the secret egg into Chapter 4.

    Gaster Whispers and Seasonal Trees

    Ostereier

If you’ve got your Gaster antenna up, Chapter 3 is buzzing. The “forgotten man” dialogue by the tree leans hard into themes of memory and loss, with the scene’s descriptions shifting from spring to summer to cold. The language echoes broader Undertale/Deltarune lore.

    Also watch the wording:

  • “Deltarune” (the game) vs “delta rune” (the in-world symbol). The game loves playing with that double meaning, and Chapter 3 slips in more of those winks than you might catch on the first run.

Patch 1.04 Highlights: Softlocks Squashed and Controls Fixed

    Fehler

A key update cleaned up a lot of pain points in Chapter 3.

    Fixes you’ll notice:

  • Lancer item duplication cleaned up.
  • Susie’s post-battle movement no longer freezes in the house-kicking room.
  • Softlocks addressed in Pushing Buddies.
  • Rare frame-perfect crashes patched (breaking shells and water-logged binoculars).
  • TripTicket still obtainable even after getting the ShadowMantle.
  • Chapter 3 bumped to version 0.0.098 after the patch.
  • Controller quirks fixed (custom keybind resets, USB/Bluetooth confusion).
  • Misc visual/text polish.
  • If something still acts weird, confirm your version matches the latest build.

Console Save Transfers: What Works (and What Doesn’t)

    Fehler

Save continuity is still a moving target on consoles. The tech to transfer demo saves exists, but implementation has lagged—especially on PS5, which hasn’t had full testing at the time noted.

    What to do:

  • Keep multiple backups before big choices or boss attempts.
  • Expect no cross-platform transfers (PC ↔ console doesn’t play nice).
  • PC players see fewer issues due to simpler file access; consoles need more stability/certification.
  • If you switch platforms, plan to start fresh for now.
  • It’s not ideal, but backups and a little patience will save your run.

Prepping for Secret Bosses: S Ranks, Mantles, and Loadouts

    Hinweise

These fights don’t mess around. Do a little homework first:

  • Get S Rank in both of Tenna’s TV Time rounds. This opens up content you need later.
  • Secure the Shadow Mantle—it grants +1 DEF per completed chapter on your file and 66% damage reduction vs Dark/Star attacks. It’s borderline mandatory.
  • Put the Mantle on Susie. She’s your primary damage dealer thanks to her attack/HP.
  • Let Kris and Ralsei handle healing and defense.
  • Stock healing items. These are long, survival-heavy battles.
  • Make backup saves after big milestones so you can retry efficiently.

Roaring Knight Showdown: Survive the Finale

    Leitfäden

The Roaring Knight shows up right after Tenna, and it’s a survival test with five attack patterns that escalate. A quick plan:

  • Gear: Shadow Mantle on Susie. The mitigation is huge here.
  • Offense: Susie’s Rude Buster is your damage backbone.
  • Support: Kris and Ralsei keep the party standing—heal first, attack later.
  • Patterns to watch include an Ice Crystal Barrage that’s predictable but punishing if you get greedy.
  • You don’t have to fully deplete the HP. Outlast the “crazy attack” finisher and the fight auto-ends in your favor.
  • Reward: a Shadow Crystal for your trouble.
  • It’s less about DPS races and more about staying calm under fire.

How to Earn the Shadow Mantle: S-Room Minigames and Mini-Boss

    Leitfäden

You’ll need the S Rank room for these. Three minigames lead into a multi-phase mini-boss.

    The three trials:

  • Trial 1: Grab the sword in the south, level up to 3 by clearing enemies, then smash cacti to reach the Ice Key.
  • Trial 2: Find the sword to the west/north, clear enemies, cut ferns, and use the raft to advance.
  • Trial 3: Get the southeast sword, then—brace yourself—defeat Susie and Ralsei to gain the levels you need. Break posts, head into the sewers, and clear every enemy to remove the bright barriers.
  • Mini-boss patterns:

  • Bomb lines: Explosions travel straight on the grid—stand diagonally to stay safe.
  • Fireballs: Randomized—keep moving and maintain space.
  • Meteors: Fall top to bottom—the lower screen is safest.
  • Friend adds: Clean them up for HP drops.
  • Survive the phases, claim your Shadow Mantle, and you’re raid-ready.

Parental Locks: Codes 213 and 1225 Explained

    Leitfäden

Two locks block your path. The codes never change, but solving them once is half the fun.

    Lock 1 (code 213):

  • Three monitors hint at the digits.
  • Middle screen: brush away grass to reveal 2.
  • Left screen: move blocks so you can flip switches on the right screen to reveal 3.
  • Clear the rest to uncover 1.
  • Enter it as 2-1-3—the wiring and brick layout indicate that order.
  • Lock 2 (code 1225):

  • Six-screen puzzle with a mobile key. Use boxes to control its path and trap it.
  • Unlock the final screen and reorder the jumbled numbers.
  • Brick boundaries imply it starts with 1 and ends with 5, giving you 1-2-2-5.
  • Both codes are fixed, so on replays you can zip through.

Deltarune Chapter 3 Parental Lock codes guide. Watch how to solve the lock puzzles and enter codes 213 and 1225 to progress past the doors and reach the chapter's finale. Tips for screen order, switches, and routing the mobile key.
